Typically there should be a correction in gold and silver based upon traditional market insight. However, things have changed. The markets used to be dictated by US banks which manipulated the markets and they needed to have price fluxuations to make money by trading the markets. However there is a new dog leading the pack, with foreign markets dictating where the markets are going. No one really knows how high the gold and silver prices can go before a correction comes into play. Hold on Gold and silver at the moment.

An analogy could be that if you were trading water in a town with lots of water, a paper based water trading market could work as as yet no one actually needs the water. But if you were in a desert and trying to trade paper cotracts for actual water it may be a faulty method of price discovery. We are there for precious metals.

In Australian dollars over the last 5 years the USD has gained about 9% in value while the price of gold has doubled from around $1700 to $3500/ounce. It seems to me that central banks (non-western) are not only reducing their exposure to USD but making huge unrealised profits along the way.

I love Gary, but I have one problem with his charts that point to resistance levels. Resistance levels work with stocks, because they represent investors that bought actual stocks, and presumably held onto them. Price action on the futures charts do not represent long term investments. I’ve seen resistance at $28 going back a few years. I think that is the biggest resistance for silver. Once it maintains a stable position above $28, $30 will be no resistance whatsoever. 👍🏼👍🏼

based on simple history. However we are in the 3rd fiat currency epoch now: 1. 1971-2007, 2. 2008-2023, 3. 2024-onward. This is it. Rising interest rates will completely blow out the US Debt Clock and hyperinflation will come into view. That is why India and China are buying Silver and Gold every overnight. It is really a new regime in fiat finance and fiat debts.

If I were a central bank that has accumulated a large stack of gold, I would squeeze the market by buying all the physical gold that hits the market. That makes my stack worth more, giving me a larger transaction base for trade with my BRICS trading partners. But I'm not a central banker.

Gold is actually waaay down over the last 12 years because it is measured against the USD. And the USD (due to inflation and currency devaluation - an inevitable symptom of so much quantative easing since the tail-end of the Great Recession and throughout covid) is worth so much less than it was 12 years ago. Gold should actually be way above where it currently is...maybe as high as $4k per ounce. But because people in America and most other countries aren't allowed to hold actual physical gold bullion, they have to buy paper gold through ETFs. And the price of paper gold is highly manipulated price. It's time to undo the laws that make owning physical gold illegal.
