How is a retail Investor supposed to invest in gold miners? This is ridiculous. Gold is at all time high and Gdx is not even close. Retail mostly do not trade futures or buy physical gold

Luck. Going back to 2000-2011 bull era there were only a couple years where the miners outperformed gold. I mostly invest in juniors and look at them as lottery tickets. Couple majors. Couple mid tier. 15 juniors. I just love the emotional toll. Lol.

He started collecting coins at age 5 and was investing in SA gold miners in the 60s…’for the dividend’ is what he always told my mom. Then he kind of gave it all up until about age 80 and then it became his hobby. Then he got me interested because he needed someone to lament with. Haha. We might yet have our day in the sun. Then again, if we don’t we knew that all along. Or should have. Thx for triggering a nice Dad memory for me!
