The placer gold is from Dahlonega, Georgia. I dredged that gold on Yahoola Creek, which runs right behind the Consolidated Mine. Should be about a gram maybe a little less. (Yes, the gold is between 18-20k) The book tells the tales of how the Georgia gold rush happened and even discusses some of the Trail of Tears events. The black cabochon is onyx and I used it to display the tin pan with the gold in it. The green stone was to test an Asian company’s quality of product. Needless to say it is sub par. The clear ones are cubic zirconia. I threw those in just for grins. Just wanted to say how much your channel inspires me and how much joy I get out of tuning in to your endeavors and escapades. I’ll have to try sending the silicon skulls ice tray again. 😁

A few of those New Orleans mint Morgan’s the are in excellent mint condition are worth six figures. The Morgan and Peace Dollars were reintroduced as to honor the originals. I thought the new versions were smaller but I was wrong as they have the same diameter but different silver percentage.

Hey Chris - got a bit of an idea for you to maybe make and sell along with your other products. A ring of mesh with a solid border that sits just below the top of a pan. Make them in different mesh sizes for classifying straight into the pan. Simple to make, very light, inexpensive, and easily carried.
