During the 15th century under the Medici bankers - Gold had the purchasing power of about $35,000US and ounce in todays money. I think it is time it went back to that kind of purchasing power. Who knows.......maybe it will?

Nobody knows for sure if there is intent to manipulate silver and gold prices. There is a definite large concentration of silver short contracts being held by two major banks, but they may just be depositories or omnibus balances for groups of smaller investors. It is quite clear that silver is undervalued as are platinum and palladium. Gold is quite clearly the most overvalued of all the precious metals but you can't tell the acerbic gold bugs that.

Gold down? Gold is not down in Euros, still close to the highs, The dollar is not up, the euro is down. You have a a simplistic way of making things up in your head.
