Nice job, I recently got a green ranger cosplay from aniki and I have a minor chip on the helmet. It's very small and is the Gold/green paint by the red jewel. What's a way that I can fix it?

Hmm, it really depends on how big the damage is on the jewel. It may require masking off the areas before doing any touch up painting. If you go to a hobby store, they normally sell artistry paint brushes that are for painting collectible models and such. You can generally find these with fairly small brushes that will allow you to touch up areas that are hard to reach. Might be your best bet :)

Hmm can't really say which is the best. They all have advantages and disadvantages. It's a wise thing to try out the paint first before buying it. But I use Rustoleum on most of my projects.

it looks like it's made of a resin or a really good foam or possibly a light metal. what's it made of?

The shield is made of out foam with a lot of the detailed pieces and areas trimmed with a precision knife or cutting tool.

And you would never want to use any kind of metal that's gonna have weight to it, if you plan on wearing it for long durations at cons.

im curious if theres anyway to lift the knee pads so that it gos on ur knee. im waiting for mine and im kinda worried.it not being on ur knee may look aqward and weird.

There's a piece that attaches the knee pads to the boot itself behind the knee pads. It's a foam padded material that was applied with epoxy. Modifying or extending it may be possible but I've never tried it on mine. They actual don't even look weird at all when I wear the boots and they don't constrict my legs when I walk in them either. If you're between 5'9'' and 6'1'', they should look good on you. If you're a tall person, then they may look a bit off. The main thing to worry about, is the straps that secure around your legs. You may need to do some modifying on those to make them look right so that they aren't sagging on the back of your knees.

I would be reluctant to think you could modify the kneepads if needed, to make them look better. As I've said, I won't be modifying mine as they don't look all that bad on me. It's honestly not even noticeable when the average person sees the boots and notices the awesome detail they have. The way your legs move with the kneepads attached to the boots, may actually be better for me with my knees a little above. I say this because it may start restricting your movement, if your knees are placed directly behind the pads themselves. Definitely don't want the boots being too bothersome all day during a convention. However, everyone's body is shaped different so it's hard enough trying to achieve that "Show Accurate" look you're aiming for. Nothing is ever going to be 100% perfect and it's how it always happens when you're cosplaying certain characters. But we can always create a close enough representation :)

How log did you first stared to work on the shield for please let me know

I started working on it this past Monday morning and it took me a few hours to paint the shield. A lot of it was spent using 3 different types of gold spray paint on a random piece of rubber, just to see what type of shading the color would look like before applying it to the shield. In the end, the Rust Oleum Specialty Metallic was what I ended up using.

Another thing to note before you start spray painting, is to make sure you're applying the paint from left to right or vice versa. The paint tends to overdrip in certain areas when being applied to rubber material such as the shield. Take your time when you do it so that the color is applied evenly throughout. I contact him about the cosplay and he told me that it cost 895 dollars and pay half up front through Paypal and the rest before shipping. However I am trying to figure out to get the money.

If you're trying to figure out how to send the money, then you need create a PayPal account. Make sure your address and account information is verified on PayPal. The site will prompt you to link your bank information to your account by verifying some small deposits into your account, in which you need to check your personal account online periodically until it happens. When you see those deposits, you log back into your PayPal and post what those exact deposit amounts were on the page it prompts you on. Once you do that, you should be verified. This sounds tedious, but it will make the transaction with Aniki go by smoother. This is how you will pay your half up front. If this doesn't answer your question, then I'm not really sure what you mean other than that.

Also, did he tell you how much you need to pay for your half down deposit? If he hasn't sent you his PayPal address yet, make sure you request it in the message you send him. That's basically his way of seeing how much of a serious buyer you are or not.

You can use a credit card to make the transaction, but I think you need to verify it through PayPal before you're able to use it.

Have you contacted Aniki already about commissioning a suit yet? He won't provide you a PayPal address until he responds to your inquiry on pricing and how much it will cost. Upon that response, is when he will send you a link to his PayPal. Once you send him half up front or the full amount, he will then send you a measurement chart.

Nope he didn't tell me about any deposit but I have to get a job and start saving money because my family is not supportive of it.
