Edey was sensational at the combine. He made 4of 5 from 3 maybe 9of12 from 18 feet... ran the floor well .looked good in agility drill. Yet they never let him shoot at Purdue. He looked fantastic shooting the ball from outside,if you like swish after swish. if he can put the ball on the floor that would be sensational. he'll be an excellent pro. They were hiding his shooting ability at purdue. Freshman from Kentucky looks like top pick. great shooter 42 inch vertical.

I love how Zach consistently refuses to enter into the typical banter of "what does this mean for your legacy or your stock pick" -- when he knows that all he needs to do is play ball and then other people will think what they are going to think....its not his job to tell Purdue fans how to remember him or GM's how to evaluate him or media folks how they should rate him. Media folks don't get it though cuz they are so used to these meaningless opinions that they can use to write articles and get clicks....Zach is just like "nah man, that is meaningless" and he does it every time. Dude is consistent and grounded!

And in terms of basketball culture - I don't think you appreciate the large number of NBA players who have come from the Golden Horseshoe Region around Toronto. Or for another example, when the Raptors won a championship Toronto fans were paying up to $60,000 a ticket to see playoff games, far, far more than fans in any American city had ever paid to see a game. The cheapest way for Toronto fans to see a game in the final series was to buy airline tickets to travel to California and pay for a hotel room and buy a ticket to see one of the games played there.
