32:02 In Mexica/Nahua (descendant of the Aztecs) culture when you die and start your journey to the underwold the first stage is crossing a River, but this River can only be crossed by the guidance of a dog. It was a common belief that if you mistreated dogs during your lifetime dogs would turn their back on you, leaving you stuck in the first phase of the journey for ever. It’s crazy how this motif is so consistent with what’s being said here 🤯

One thing i always like to remind people, is that to our pets - we are gods. We mold the world around us - we have unlimited food and drink. We create our own shelter - and we take them in, dote on them, love them, and then go off to do things they cant even fathom. Our faces morph and move in strange ways, a complex body language they can barely understand. We conjure light and sound from nothing, we make complex noise to communicate ideas - not just feelings, but entire ideas. To our pets, we are powerful enigmas, eldritch gods. Be kind to your pets, and they will worship the ground you walk on

@@trashpostersanonymous I actually don't have dogs, just cats. While I do think that they BEHAVE as if we're more equals (or cats) than gods, I meant it more from a perspective of the cat, and more like an eldritch god than an Abrahamic one. We control the weather, we make sounds and even tones with our mouths, or magic boxes. If they're sick, we heal them. If they're hurting, we help them. We protect them from dangers they instinctually expect, we conjure sunlight in rooms with no windows, we tower above them and could easily harm them, but we keep them safe and love them instead.

They don't have that level of thought. Us doing acts they can't even begin to understand is the same to them as a dog licking its butt or chasing its tail. They don't consider the implications of it, things happen, they process that it's not relevant to them and doesn't look very interesting, and they forget about it shortly after. From their perspective, the only way we're powerful in any way is that we can control the doors and supply food.

Started doing an “active imagination” exercise after reading Robert Johnson’s book last week (after you recommended it). The first two archetypes that showed up to communicate with me were a cow and a snake. As I listened through this episode at work today, a bunch of cows wandered into the garden I was weeding and I stepped on a snake as I tried to chase the cows out of the garden. Not sure what the hell it all means, but I’m absolutely certain I just came into full contact with a “non causal connecting principle”…. This channel is literally changing my life man. It is interesting to notice that we associate ourselves and others to different animals depending on the mood we're in or qualities we perceive in the moment, to the point that sometimes the boundary between dream and reality completely disappears, as can be seen through the famous first line of Kafka's Metamorphosis: "One morning, when Gregor Samsa woke from troubled dreams, he found himself transformed in his bed into a horrible vermin."

Cats in many belief systems through history have seen them as being able to see and cross over to other realms. They are seen to have one foot in the physical and one in the spiritual worlds. Skogkatts were able to climb any surface and were able to travel to any realm, the cat sith were cats born in the fae realm, MeW could traverse the path to the land of the dead and back, Felis was sent by Diana to protect from bad spirits and the illness they bring, and so on. And even cat killing witch hunters thought that they could see the hidden world. Cats will attack things you can't see and stare intently at nothing which leads to this belief. We have recently discovered cats have unihemispheric slow-wave sleep meaning that at many times they are both asleep and awake at the same time.

Honestly, I feel like people who believe these things just don't understand cats. They're really not as alien or strange as most people seem to think. In that moment I felt a complete sense of awe. The raven had an aura demanding respect and it felt ancient. After this the raven flew beside me on the passenger seat window and the window was rolled down and it flew beside the car while it was driving and it made eye contact with me the entire time. As it was doing that I was so drawn to its gaze and time slowed down so much in the dream. It felt like it looked into the core of my being and I felt this complete sense of awe and reverence. It then flew away. What would you interpret of this? Is it an omen or something less sinister?

The law of compensation reveals that at one point ( either of conscience recall or not ) you were cruel to an animal or person that you did not adore may of even had an active hatred or hatreds to neglect of something or someone even yourself was then later compensated in the abberation of rescuing feral cat's that usually dont need rescuing in fact cat's are happier in the wild they are hunters and territorial giving them a small apartment or a large house in domestication is an injustice to their very species and nature. Rome has more feral cats than citizens. A psychological assesment of the biography of every eccentric "cat lady" or "cat man" when scanning through to where the beginning of collecting cats rescuing people or collecting objects of anything which is a childish phase of collecting that begins at around 8 or 9 from bottle caps to baseball cards or other things just to collect things is found. Most outgrow that phase , many don't and continue to as grown men and women in infantile fixation collect cars or art and or other fetished items making of them enormous values of fortune for a few at auctions while creating enormous poverty for majorities, We live in an entire nation of such aberrated individuals and their "collectives." World land grabbing like the childish table game of whoever puts their hand on a piece of food claims it and gets to eat it while the others not quite fast enough get to eat nothing. Aberrated people Claiming cats and dogs as pets for emotional support and giving them better care than their fellow man ....... is no different. Healthy adjusted with good to average personality Buernroyter self sufficiency percentile score don't require anything but themselves for support being as healthy undomesticated animals are .......naturally self sufficient and to think of an animal requiring an emotional support human is both at the same time preposterous and silly.

Now the panther, I almost caught her, but she evaded me, scratching my left arm. I woke up the next day, went to the gym, picked some weights and cut my left thumb from a little scratch in the floor, was bleeding a little bit, stopped, put the thumb in my mouth for a while, tasted the iron and continued my training. I almost always remember my dreams, only when I'm intoxicated I cannot, or they represent something that happened in the days past..

"Whenever life means business, you're likely to find a saurian on the way." Oof... I lived with a female friend for about year after she divorced her husband. (No we were not romantically or even sexually involved) She was a Church goer and very superstitious. She kept a garden, and one day, she ran inside, screaming almost hysterically. She took me outside to show her garden was being visited by a little black garden snake. These little guys are pretty common where I live, and I've heard it said if your garden gets one, you're doing something right. She wanted me to kill it or throw him away somewhere. I refused because Garden Snakes are harmless... I also think they're cute. 🥰 Living with her was an absolute nightmare. She compared me to her ex-husband, held letting me move in after an eviction over my head so that she could use it as an excuse to treat me however she wanted and even accused me of stealing from her. I moved into a crack house after that, and I prefer the crack house. At least I knew where I stood with those people. With her, I didn't know what I'd get from one day to the next. It was experiences like that that taught me the hard way to not ignore my instincts. (Hey that's what you said!) I also didn't realize the symbol for medicine had connections to Moses, though I suppose I should have. 😮 The story about letting his followers get bitten so they can be healed, combined with the clergyman beating another snake with a stick and denouncing all snakes as evil is kinda prophetic in the face of all these anti-vaxxers. Frankly, I just think they're afraid of needles. 😅

Animals are not still in the garden of Eden. They fell with us, our sin caused the whole world to fall. This is why in nature animals must consume each other to survive, the whole world is fallen, not just us.

So God's big achievement was letting all his creations fall from Eden and start devouring each other. And we're supposed to constantly go around praising him and singing hymns all day right?

Had a dream a cyborg space dragon swam to me while floating comfortably in zero gravity. It warned me of my fait. I could see myself in its eyes without having reflection to them.(He Appeared truthful)Said I messed up a future timeline, then grabbed me with one of his four limbs and flew us at hyper-speed into orbit. I woke up and wrote it into my journal. I pray I Dont mess anything up for anyone. Let it be me if need be…

Very interesting video, just a couple of critiques: when talking about certain Native American beliefs you should cite the specific culture you're referencing because they do not all share the same traditions. Also the one horse in Plato's chariot does represent the appetitive part of our soul similar to what you stated but the other horse represents the 'spirited' or passioned part of our soul (strong feelings or emotions) and the charioteer represents the rational part of our soul or psyche which according to Plato should be driving the chariot, in control of the other two aspects in order for us to be healthy and well adjusted.

This week I had a dream where I was traveling from one city to another by foot with my mother. The road seemed very dangerous as it was an intersection of rail roads and highways. There was a lot of sand over the tracks and it had marks of train wheels, indicating that trains might have just passed through them. Suddenly, a traveler came from down a hill puling a great carriage with his hands. Its wheels were connected to the train tracks. This traveler seemed very strong and I held great admiration for him. He was continuing on his path when I met a friend of mine. I expressed to this friend how much I admired the traveler and wished to join his side. He said that I could if I wanted to. With this realization, I rushed towards where the traveler went but in his place, I found only a black poodle. I laid on some stone on the side of the road and saw the starry night sky when a plane went by.

Ever since I was young I dreamt about being a wolf in a forest, a pup when i was younger and a wolf when I was older. I was a white wolf and I was constantly chasing this dark grey wolf through the forest. The forest was often dark but was illuminated enough to see by. Some dreams I've had, I would be chasing another white wolf and devouring it while he dark grey one watched. When I was older I had the opportunity to go through a hero's journey (complete with sensing Death, feeling the veil of reality lift a little, ego death, a descent into an abyss or ocean, the whole nine yards) and my grey wolf was *there*, even when i did not know my own name, i knew them. Guided me out of the dark, told me to concentrate on my breathing. One of the most profound experiences of my life.

This analysis overlooks one crucial point: The animals who live with humans, either as livestock or as pets, are being dramatically affected by our involvement in their lives, in ways that are becoming so obvious that biologists, linguists, and behavioral psychologists are sitting up, taking notice, and designing the first generation of serious empirical studies to determine whether or not what we are seeing is what is really happening. Scientists have begun to realize that certain mammal species appear to have working intellects; feel complex emotions, like disdain, and can suffer from emotional disregulation, like depression; understand that the cycle of birth, childhood, maturity, and death applies to them personally, as well as to others; can communicate and relate socially with other animal species; and most of all, can develop the ability to understand human language and use it to communicate back to us. As it grows and becomes more a matter of settled science, this developing knowledge is likely to pose a massive moral challenge to the way in which humans currently live or aspire to live-a reconsideration of our human principles and values that will likely be several orders of magnitude greater than that which brought about the end of human slavery in most parts of the world. Our barbarity will be on full display to us, confirmed by the testimony of the various species who we cage, slaughter, beat, and drive insane with our factory farming methodologies. More than one “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” will be written about this subject; more than one war fought over it, too, if we resist the evidence presented to us. This crisis-because that is what it will be-will smash the political, legal, economic, cultural, and spiritual foundations on which human society is currently based. We had better start now to discuss and debate what we want to take their place, before the coming tsunami of scientific insight into the personhood of all species sweeps everything we thought we knew away. A blank sheet of paper can be so threatening that it plunges humanity into a Dark Age from which it might not emerge. Or it can release the creativity of nine billion human minds, working together to mend the rift in the realm of living beings that our own intellect brought about. However it goes, we will be in the thick of it soon-in a matter of years, not decades or centuries. You could take a step in the right direction by reframing the discussion in this video so that it speaks to our future on Earth, and not to a past that is already almost gone.

Good food for thought. I experientially know they can understand us, it is we humans who repressed our natural relationship with animals/the natural world. With cosmic assistance, that relationship that is being re-membered and re-created as we look to our past, our roots, our myths that hold the reality of our hidden past - in the race to our destiny is it ? May good beings rejoice together. To see the world in a grain of sand And heaven in a wild flower Hold infinity in the palm of your hand And Eternity in an hour William Blake

I enjoyed your well written response. I was not too happy to find that my cat spent the day at the vet yesterday waiting all day for dental surgery while the office had workmen jackhammering and installing flooring. Cats are nervous and I know this was terrifying to him. No way would I have scheduled if I had known and the vet should not have scheduled any animals for that day. A vet should know better.

@@Soothsayer937 Sorry to hear that about kitty - treat him w treats and watch him recover - animals know how to recover from trauma, how to not hold it in their body, we could learn from them.... All the best to you both 💖
