To be fair to Ralf, he said in a post match interview that the defence didn't follow the game plan, and that they pushed forward too early. It seems like it doesn't matter if he gives the players instructions, they just don't follow them! Can you mark the manager down if the plan failed, if the players didn't even follow the plan? I watched the whole game and I watched the highlights again to be 100% sure.The THREE first goals are Maguire's fault. The last one it's bass pass from Maguire, bad reception from Hannibal and bad marking by bissaka, at that level, imo it was mainly Hannibals but the fact that the other three come from Maguire it's shocking. Let's also point fingers properly, it cannot be that the defensive coaching is that bad. I've seen better Man United defense, Rangnick has to be blamed too for this shamble. And when it comes to other players tbh we barely had possesion so there wasn't much that we could do. I do think that the majority of the players can be kept with the exceptions of the defense line. I just I hoped Rangnick would set them properly but doesn't seem to be able to.

The reason united spent so much on Maguire and Wan Bissaka is because they were regarded as two of the best defeners in the Premier league, not because they didn't know who Ole was... Maguire and AWB were regarded as great defenders in teams who sat back and counter attacked.
