Alan Shearer had 64 assists in the Premier League, Harry Kane has 46 assists in the Premier League (so far). Shearer had everything and did everything before his injuries, so the discussion at the end is just plain wrong.

Everyone forgets how good shearer was before his acl's, literally had everything, speed power pass cross, head, hold up, in behind, shoot from anyway, probably the best ever English striker, the fact he was still at the top after those injuries shows how good he was

Newcastle are miles ahead of Spurs already, in five years time we will be winning cups and titles. Eddie is building up a team of class young players, Botman, Hall, Livremento, Isak, Miley, Barnes, Gordon all early twenties. If it wasn't for injuries we would be a lot higher in the table. Like Goldbridge but I think he's wrong here. We've been winning with 10 to 12 first steamers out. 😊

Shearer was brilliant at holding the ball up, on of the best headers of the ball ever, brilliant at free kicks and regularly set up players, deadly from penalties, came back from 2 potentiality career ending injuries and played in an era of some of the greatest defenders in English football history. Goldbridge wanted to tap that.
