He just had to mention the psychology of it all. I seriously devised a whole lengthy analysis on Kilgrave's character with the whole first draft written only in my head. He provided many of the same points, which makes me glad. Psychology plays such a huge part in acting. That is one of the reasons for why I love creating stories and acting so much.

Great interview. In Series 3 of Sherlock, the main villain was a man named Charles Augustus Magnusson who essentially used blackmail to gain power over people. And he was incredibly sinister and petty. Kilgrave and he are of a similar bent, which is why I think they are terrifying modern villains.

OMG Lars Mikkelsen is sooooo creepy!! Also, he doesn't have Tennant's handsome charisma, I don't think, and as a result his character is completely creepy, 100%.

His charisma is what made the character so chilling. There were some really charming moments that I had to stop myself and be like "stop enjoying this, he's a horrible person!"

I'd say David Tennant was either equal to or more iconic in his role as Heath Ledger to the joker. I'd prefer to see more of Tennant as Kilgrave easily over any other Marvel villain.
