So brilliant what he says about relationship. For me, the dynamic between Hal and his wife were the most important elements of the entire series, not all the political stuff. Rufus is such an intelligent and profound person in this interview.

Rufus Sewell - not enough credit for his acting ability, for sure. Outstanding actor - he is so good in everything I have seen him in. Love him in The Diplomat, playing opposite Keri Russell. Their chemistry is very well matched.

I met him at chateau marmont years ago with my friend. We are both black women. I went to him and told I loved dark city and he was extremely nice and chatted us up. He is extremely friendly and down to earth. He treated us like we were friends. I was very impressed with him and his personality. He gets an A+ from me. Based on his personality I will support anything he does. I have never been treated so well by a celebrity.

i love how they set up the hubby-wife dynamic, like when Hal would prepare a plate of food and then he's not really gonna eat it... because his wife will be the one to eat it, then the other characters would notice it but they do not really comment on it... it's clever in a different way.

and he never slips up on the show even amongst other English people. Always amazed how well the Brits do with an American accent. I've never been that blown away by an American actor doing an English accent

It took some time, but I think he made it in “The Man in the High Castle.” That’s when I first noticed what a brilliant actor his is. “The Diplomat” is fantastic as well. Can’t wait to see what he does next.

If you want to see him in a totally different type of role that he made 20-25 yrs ago, find Dangerous Beauty. OMG…that beautiful movie made me an immediate fan of his very early on.

i don't see hal as egotistic at all. he's incredibly smart, knows how to play politics--both with diplomatic relations and government process, and very worldly. The problem is he's usually right.
