Ax's Wind Spell @1:43 is one of the very best in the entire series, you can fling an entire screen full of enemies down a hole with it, or up against a wall to trap them for follow up combos. It's an awesome tactical tool.

Golden Axe magic - the spiritual, ancient and majestic predecessor of what we now know simply as killstreaks (well sorta lol) 😁 Especially the woman's ultimate magic. I mean give me a flaming dragon over a tactical nuke any day of the week!! Death-Adder was a mean looking SOB on the arcade original especially as he 'rises' from the ground. Plus the end credits... Simply put, it's SEGA at their retro best, giving me memories I'll forever cherish.

Good old Memories. I used to play Golden Axe Non Stop when I was a kid. I know young people might like Golden Axe: Beast Rider more. But I don't care. I prefer Golden Axe in the Original version. It's meant to be played like this. Stay Awesome. 😎👍

If you're ok with 2d scrolling, try to download an emulator and play the arcade version. Visually both Golden Axe 1 and Revenge of Death Adder easily could pass as 2d remakes.

Golden Axe II had the best magic sequence... from Ax Battler's Level 2 enemy toss, Tyris's Level 4 & 6 Phoenix & Dragon PROJECTIONS (instead of the STATIC live dragon), to Gilius's Level 2 massive boulder crush. And I love how each of the 3 characters strikes a different pose when casting their spells (Ax Battler = 2-handed sword hoist, Tyris = One-handed sword raise, and Gilius = Kneeling ground strike).

Most of the people including the manufacturer themselves could not understand the beauty of it. To get the right kind of sound effects you have to connect to audio systems in your home. I used to play games like that. The best sound effects was not golden axe, it was streets of rage. That game was unbelievable I mean at that time period.
