Best viewed in 60 fps (only available on HTML5 player). I'm player 1, GalaxiaShadow is player 2, Metal Yoshi/Kirby is player 3, and vhr2121 is player 4. Links to their channels below. This is a reupload of an older video. The purpose for this was because the previous video was missing a segment at the beginning of stage 4 and now I can record it at 60fps in a higher resolution.

I had totally forgotten about a dwarf riding a giant riding a mantis, which is a pretty wild concept. Shame, then, that we cannot also see a centaur riding a mantis without her first having to change into a human to do so.

Thanks for posting this. Death Adder is an Epic villain. I love all these Golden Axe games. Specially the creative ending when the Midget vicking sacrifices himself to deal a final bead blow to adder.

Love how the screams are poached from old movies. I hear Grace Jones from Conan the Destroyer, Sven Thorsen from the original Conan, Jack Starret from First Blood when he falls from the chopper, and I think David Caruso from the same film when his legs get stuck in one of Rambo’s traps. Hilarious!

Watching it back it's kinda the typical hollywood bs of marketing degeneracy to kids BUT... they did have an aspect of family, love and loyalty. I always hated how the edges of the screen and backstabbing is the primary mode of attack for the ai in these games, and how they always do knockdown attacks, but the players have to do a full combo before a knockdown in which there is a frame in the combo where the ai always gets a sucker punch in that is usually instant knockdown. Its not just this game that did that, its all beatem ups.

Are you playing this on pc!? Awesome gameplay. I love retro classics. Please help me install it on my pc. I tried installing MAME and various to me but it is not working. The quality of the image in the video is fantastic

Because you mentioned installing MAME, I'm going to assume you haven't played other games on MAME before. You might find a version like MAMEUI64 easier to use if you had only been trying the regular version of MAME. What you would need to do first is make sure your rom directory is set properly. You should be able to find a copy of this game by looking for "ga2.zip".

arronmunroe Awesome! Yes I tried mameui64 in the past but it wouldn't work with certain games like 'Cadilacs and Dinosaures'. I always keep the game zipped and copy it into the Tom folder but no luck. I will try this game and see what happens. Thank you so much for the link

When a game doesn't work, one of the possibilities is that you have the wrong rom version. When that happens, you can either look for a different copy of the game that has a different file size, or try a different version of MAME. Another reason a game might not work is if you are missing a bios file, although I don't think Cadillacs and Dinosaurs needed one. If you right click on the game from the rom list and go to "audit", MAME will tell you what's wrong. It will say "not found" if it doesn't see your rom at all, "passed" if the rom is working, or "failed" if it sees your rom, but it's the wrong version, or it's missing a bios file.

It might depend on which versions of either or you're using. I HAVE this game in my Mame machine, which runs just fine. I also have it on a modded 2TB original Xbox console, which IS playable, but has some graphical issues though.

Writers goofed on the story continuation pretty much. Not suprised since this version was never ported so i doubt they even consider it cannon.

That is actually correct, and is also why Gillius is a "ghost"/spirit guide in that game, instead of being a playable character.

If not that, than a 32X, or a Saturn would have been able to run this game mostly flawlessly. Instead we got the mediocre fighting game that was Golden Axe: The Duel on it! Thanks Sega! (L.O.L.!)

If you're looking for the game, you would need to search for "ga2.zip". If you're referring to how this is 4 player, that is an option that needs to be changed in the service menu.

I don't believe there is a 2p rom specifically, but you do need to go into the service menu to switch it to 4p.

@@arronmunroe It's a fight with the brother of Death Adder, Death Subtractor. You first have to beat every level without being hit and then when the fight with M.Bison is about to begin, Death Subtractor knocks out M.Bison and then you fight.
