GOLDEN BRIDGES - version: September 2023

A brief history of the iconic Golden Bridge Pottery, and the silent ceramic revolution in south India!
A film by Adil Writer of Mandala Pottery & Auroras Eye Films. This is an extended version of the film premiered at the IAC (International Academy of Ceramics) congress in Geneva 2022, subsequent to our Deborah's passing in July 2023.
This movie traces the college days when Deb and Ray first met in California in the late 60s, covers the setting up of Golden Bridge Pottery in Pondicherry, the spread of ceramics via students of GBP, the fired houses Ray designed and built, the ceramic studios in Auroville, Pondicherry and the villages in the hinterland, select ex-students of GBP and their works, and ends on a poignant note of where GBP is today, with Debs passing in July 2023.
