@@OneChartguitarlessons KZbin user 'SeeShellSinging' has uploaded a nice version of Jorge Ben's Mas que Nada. Would love to have the chords for this one. She put some basic chords in the description, but it wasn't really complete and I couldn't work it out. If you were looking for a song that needed the tabs transcribed and a tutorial, in a similar manner to the great way you did it for thesecretsea's Golden Brown, you might consider this one for your next video!

@@blutey just watched it - and a few others on her channel - seems she has stopped uploading quite a few years ago. Shame, because you're right, it's great. I will definitely look at doing a lesson for that song and use her cover as a reference. It may take me a while, but stay tuned! thanks for the request!

I just wanted to say thank you for your wonderful version of this great song!.. I have looked far and wide to try to find a PDF of the true original notes that are played by The Stranglers!... It is also refreshing, to see there are still good people in the world that are willing to GIVE something AWAY, ESPECIALLY when it is something as GREAT as the GIFT of Allowing ME to MAKE MUSIC... May God Bless you..

I've been listening to the (absolutely superb) secret sea version for a while and decided i wanted to use this song as my next guitar challenge, to really play the hell out of it until i can do it well, so, i know its going to be a challenge, but, TY so much for laying it out so clearly and showing me what i've got to do. Brilliant and concise lesson, and i do believe you've got it just the way he plays it too.

Nice tutorial. Which time signature ?
@OneChartguitarlessons2 жыл бұрын
Technically it's 13/8. But because it's hard to count 13 in a song, it's easier to count 3 bars of 3/4 followed by one bar of 4/4, which amounts to the same thing. So, "1, 2, 3 - 1, 2, 3 - 1, 2, 3 - 1, 2, 3, 4". And the verses are just normal 3/4. Hope that helps!

@tomhart54652 жыл бұрын
@@OneChartguitarlessons A worthy opinion of coarse! And an excellent cover do doubt. In fairness ‘definitive' is a tricky word when applied to a song! The Stranglers is still the original and best..in my own humble opinion,It’s almost like a waltz and instantly recognisable, I enjoyed yours though also, all the best😊
@OneChartguitarlessons2 жыл бұрын
@@tomhart5465 yes you're right. The original is probably the definitive version. I guess what I should have said is the definitive arrangement for solo guitar. I don't know of another arrangement that does it as well as Secret Sea's.
