I'm a trained singer, and a music teacher by profession, and sang this song as a young performer myself. I can say with absolute certainty this is the most beautifully I've ever heard this song sung. Not only is he a TRULY gifted singer, he sings with poise. With proper technique, proper breathing, proper everything. His vowels are PERFECTION, the smoothness with which he sings is truly impeccable. The amount of control it takes to sing slowly, that high.... this boy is truly a gift from God. As a music producer..... that's what 13 yo kids should sing. The Vienna Boys never had a voice such Malekai's. When I see pretentious mom's send their minors dresses as adults singing Whitney Houston, Celine Dion's songs I start vomiting. I actually listen to a lot of kids choirs and soloists because it’s so amazing to hear what kids with that level of vocal training can accomplish. I’ve watched many videos of boys around the same age perform this song, but Malakai is something else. How long he holds those notes is INSANE. Most boy soloists do so a little faster because being able to hold such high notes for so long takes so much discipline and practice, it’s an incredible strain and effort on the voice. What an incredible talent…this kid did amazing.
