I recommend you aren't driving while listening to this song! There is a longer version with the extended drum and guitar solos though.

This was Golden Earring's big hit in America. But this Dutch rock band have no fewer than 26 studio albums and 6 live albums. With five charts in the American Billboard Hot 100, Golden Earring is the most successful Dutch act in America, with Twilight Zone they even achieved a number 1 hit in 1982 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks. In total, six singles and eight albums made it to Billboard's leading charts. In March 2021 they were forced to stop because founder / singer / guitarist George Kooymans was diagnosed with the muscle disease ALS. This band is worth going through their discography with so many very strong pearls of songs. Very underrated rock band.

Since we did not have MTV back in those days I'm guessing the majority of these videos where to lip-synched to the actual original audio recording Studios. You notice how the people are all sitting around there sitting there like they're waiting on their next bowel movement on the toilet. They're so unmoved by what's going on around them. This video I've seen so many times everybody seems to be reacting to it's not even real. I'm glad you're enjoying the song though I mean it is a good song. I just wish there was a better live video to enjoy. This audiences just so unresponsive nobody's even enjoying being there. Nobody's tapping their feet nobody's nodding their heads to the rhythm of the music, nothing. Pure boredom.
