This is one of my FAVORITE BANDS EVER ! They have been together longer than just about ANYONE with the same lineup and they have SO many really good albums that have been overlooked entirely in the USA ! COME to the UNITED STATES AGAIN PLEASE ! I saw them 4 times and wish I could see them again before I go ! LOVE THIS BAND !

I'm so upset I never had the opportunity to get to see one of their concerts during a tour. :( Barry is one HECK of a front man, Cesar is just a maniac on the drums...(AWESOME), the instrumentation is so tight, George is phenomenal, and the rest of the band is just...WOW... AMAZING. I'm a Golden Earrings fan for life!

They were fabulous live, and I had the privilege of seeing them on multiple occasions. I even interviewed three of them. Very smart, courteous, entertaining people. Anyway, you're right about Cesar. He's THE drummer. Check out their albums Moontan, Switch, To the Hilt, Grab It for a Second, and No Promises No Debts.

I find myself coming back to listen/watch this show quite often. It would have been awesome to be there, just as awesome for those who were there that they can re-live the experience via KZbin. I also love the "acoustic" they recorded at a small club in Amsterdam (pre-Barry's tats, I think.) This is probably the #1 group that I never got to see live. Only vicariously through these videos.

I was surprised to learn that George Kyoomans founded this band in 1961 ! Unbelievable that they persevered for 13 years before hitting it big. Videos like this are huge ! A lot more to these guys than Radar Love and Twilight Zone !!
