One big difference between the bodybuilders of the 70s-90 was that they actually looked like celebrities. They had their own look and style. They would catch your interest right away. Unlike the bodybuilders of today that although bigger, they lack the personality and all look the same.

@@nicedoppy2077 it took it took 7 years to do all that. The workouts varied over that time, but I started with almost 2 years on deadlift, squat, bench press, bent row, behind the neck press and that got me some serious size. The food was the hardest part, because even tho I was younger and could eat the world, I wasn't prepared for how much food was consumed on this program. I did 4 meals plus drank a gallon of what the writer called "the get big drink" a day. Back in the day I used Twin Labs amino fuel, Met-Rx and a natural testosterone booster( don't remember the brand name). Now I'm 50, do, mostly, calisthenics and weigh about 170. 'Minimal' compared to people today who use 10,000mg of drugs a week is not saying much lol. 1,500mg is still like 6 or 7 times the average guy's normal test production.

How many of the old school guys died on stage, or from cancer, or heart failure...seems to me there's a lot more of them alive than later generations. "dying ain't much of a livin boy."

There is no need for roids. If you follow these advices for years you will become a great looking man. No professional monster-BB but a very well looking guy for sure.

Eating like an old school 70's bodybuilder is relatively easy. Just make sure you don't grossly overeat like the bodybuilders are doing today. And don't reduce or totally cut out vegetables from the diet, just so you have extra room in your gut to stuff more steaks and chicken breasts into it like the bodybuilders are doing today.

Bodybuilding is a serious health risk as we take the years of heart work in just a few months. For regular fitness this form of exercise is the best because of the definition it gives to the body

I'm not backlashing on these legends as I have the outmost respect towards them... But back then times were different than nowadays. 1 clear example is the cost of food in today's market., Sergio used to eat 4kgs of red meat a day... My whole salary would be solely spent on that if I tried to eat that much food. Also anabolics were much cheaper and pure than the shit there is in todays... Again not blamishing anyone but times changed and not all for the better.

People forget why bodybuilders in this era looked more athletics; it is because they were. Many bodybuilders in the 60s, 70s, and 80s actually trained in Olympic Weightlifting or Powerlifting.
