All because of money. Back then Mr. O got 5k, eqivalent to 25k now. Some youtube fitness 'influencers" make 25k in 1 month after training for 6 months because of social media. Without the internet, they will be working at Walmart or similiar. Back then, bodybuilding or fitness culture was an oddity, a cult following almost entirely made of men. Now they have crossfit and 4 divisions in male and female bodybuilding contests. Drugs were only known by the hardcore gym rats. Now due to the internet, everyone thinks that they are experts from bro science. The internet itself contributes to 10% of the US economy. 2.2 trillion.

Hello guys! I’m from Brazil and I can say that I respect a lot these men. Everything we have today when we talk about bodybuilding, we have to thank them. They were the best. I’m only 29 years old and I didn’t see them in Olympia, only on KZbin but they always were my motivation to go to the gym, to workout everyday, to change my body and my mind. I think that in the olden years, the athletes were friends. I always see them having a training together. Today there isn’t it. I am gratefull for them. It’s my dream to meet Arnold. He is a true bodybuilding legend.

One of the best things you can do as a natural lifter is to study the philosophy of Old-School bodybuilders. Old-School bodybuilders were ingenious physique architects. They had a profound knowledge of the principles of proper nutrition, smart supplementation, exercise science and muscle adaptability. If you combine Old-School bodybuilding wisdom with modern, evidence-based science, it's the best, safest, most effective way in achieving a strong, sexy, healthy and aesthetic physique. Vintage Physique by George Kelly is a nice book on this. It includes 3 lean bulking protocols (diet + training + supplements) depending on your training level.

At breakfast Tom Platz and Robbie Robinson were seated a couple of tables away from us. Tom's breakfast was constantly interrupted by fans. He was warm and friendly to everyone. He is one of the best commentators for the sport. Listen to what he says near the beginning of this video. "Creativity is the highest level of existence", "we weren't robots following someone else".
