Yea I remember when I first saw the golden friend, just writing it off and ignoring it as a reskin of the basic machine gun. Then when the system for weapon parts came out, not only was I annoyed that you now needed 250 parts to craft specific weapons, but that now even if I managed to roll a golden friend from the chest all I’d be getting was 3 parts. Still a pretty interesting weapon to look back on though.

I got the Golden Friend and the Spark Shark from the Lucky Chest back in 2016, or 2017 I can't remember. But I upgraded the Golden Friend to level 65 last year because it's still good. The Spark Shark has sadly been nerfed so much it isn't worth upgrading.

I still think it's bad compared to all of the other primarys you can get and max out. Some normal primarys do more damage and are faster than golden friend and has more benfits to it. Honestly not really worth getting it now and they should've just kept the lucky chest instead if making it full on cash grab

The only lucky chests you get are lottery chests with few legit guns and the rest is either Battle royal items, skins, or 3 parts for a gun, the game is saying, "you want this gun? Just make a small purchase of 100$ for 10000 coins" (which will probably only get you barely 5 guns with the prices of the coin guns)
