I was born and raised in the town of Linapacan and it's so funny that we used to not appreciate our town like you do, not because we don't feel like it's not beautiful but because we think those things are normal cos we happen to see it everyday. I mean the crystal clear water, the beach and even that ring on the moon, we always see it during full moon and it's very normal for us. We could just run for one minute or two because our house are just 100m away from the beach and voila, we could already see the reefs and enjoy the water! There are so many islands with beautiful beaches and reefs in Linapacan, I hope one day, it would be known to the world too, like Coron and El Nido. I am just so proud of my hometown. Thank Finn for this beautiful video, as always you are the greatest vlogger of all time. 😊😊

@@GretSanDiego language used by many in Linapacan is Cuyunon but there are also some dialect like Tagbanua and Agutaynen and also some speaks Bisaya.

Our old ancestors told us that if a moon has there own umbrella the climate maybe cloudy or rainy .. And in the morning if you see a cloud on top of it with color red or like a fire on stove ,,a thypoon or something bad weather will come.. if you see the sunset so red even the cloud totally red ,. A rainy morning tomorrow will come.

That's called 22° halos because the ring has a radius of 22° around the moon or sun. Lunar halo when it surrounds the moon. Solar halo if it's the sun. It's caused by thin cirrus clouds and tiny crystals that refract/reflect light. My gramps used to say, well, the older folks at least, "Ring around the moon means rain soon." So watch out for those stormy clouds! 😄

Amazing views both above and underwater! 🙌️ Those corals are epic! 😍️ The "ring" around the moon is called a lunar halo and from what I can remember from an Earth Science class is caused by refraction (bending of light at an angle as it passes from one medium to another), dispersion, and reflection of light through ice particles suspended within a particular type of cloud (forgot what type of cloud it is). Folklore also has its take on this lunar halo and that it's a sign of impending bad weather.

Yes, I Have seen the Halo Moon before when I took a Farry from Cebu to Ozamis one time. I took pictures because it was very cool :-( But I had a crappy camera and they turned out bad. but I will never forget the night cruise from the deck bed I was on :-) hahaha we took the cheap ticket and I Loved it. sleeping out on the deck on the top bunk bed on the Farry :-), I think there were about 50 bunk beds out on the deck :-).
