Improvements to this setup - recycler for sub 1000% butterflies - shredder for larva - supply chest to send recycled fertiliser & mutagen to base - be aware of the 16 spawning limit My personal opinion on design is I’d remove the tower and cover it with the foundation pieces Then have an offshoot to the stairs placed going towards where you enter the area normally (to not disturb the farm spawns) Oh and *insect spreader rockets* are a thing

@@stashiv I actually just had collector next to the entrance to my base, but with drones moved all my collectors on top of the buildings exactly because I don't want to deal with them and they look like huge satellite dish. And yet, apparently, I still can easily access them. Didn't know that.

@@stashiv That actually wasn't an issue. I built part of my base above the lake, so auto-crafters picked water from smaller collectors placed in the water. Large collectors at that point were only used to get drinkable water anywhere I want instead of running to the nearby puddle everytime like Z1 still do for whatever reason. Now I just place a chest, set import food and water and my army of drones bring that anywhere on the map. Having a hundred of those helps a lot.

@@lainverse Oh I'm just saying, they are also more likely to be closer to auto crafters when on the roof. Cheap way to supplement if you don't have, or want to spend the more expensive resources on lake water collectors or just a flat out solution to not building directly over a water source

I'm a masochist admittedly, but I don't bother with platforms for larva farming. The Blue larva from that area are awesome as well at 1200%.

I crafted all my golden butterflies. It’s the same stuff for the 1000% and the 1200% butterflies and I set my incubators to deliver to a chest as soon as they’re done. I love the drones. I’ve got over 200 buzzing around. If you want to collect a load of rare larvae then there’s a nice flat area to the bottom left of the map. You can fill your inventory up in about 5 mins 👍

U can build a shredder (or whatever it's called) on the platform and destroy any unwanted larva.

I think that the same formula for blue butterfly larva will also produce golden butterfly larva. I don't know the percentages but if you feel like recycling the blues for the materials you could try a few times to get some gold ones in the incubator too. Though I think that once you start using lots of the blues it's harder to get golden ones in the incubator, at least that's what I've heard. Not that anything I've heard means anything since the voices in my head keep telling me to be quite - but what do those voices know anyway....

another way to do it is to pop a recycler next to your incubaters, and if you incubate something that's not golden, recylce it and try again until it's golden

Hi Z, I built the larvae farm too. The key to getting a lot of golden larvae is to pick up all the larvae on the platform and dump them off the corner of the platform and more continue to spawn in along with the golden ones. I picked up 5 golden ones in 2 minutes of clearing the platform. Love you videos. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to you streaming again!!

Awesome idea. I don't think this would get patched as it is not really a cheat in any way. Just like you explained at the end it is just much easier to find all of them against the metal rather then in the foliage.

Another way to get those blue butterfly larva's is to use the incubator with a rare larva, fertilizer, & mutagen T2. This will also randomly get you the reddish butterfly larva as well. The reddish ones give you 1000%, the blue 1200%. So if you happen to find rare larva while your farming for gold grab them as well. Then you can just make those blue ones too.

Fastest way to get the golden butterfly is to save and log out and reload. Let the golden butterfly spawn, usually 1-2. Save and reload. and just repeat the process until you have all the butterflies you want!

You can add a room to another by standing inside it, selecting the build module and point it at the wall, ceiling or floor you want to attach it to. If it's lined up it will give you a link icon and click you mouse. If it's on the same level the wall will disappear and you have your next room, if its above you you will need to add a ladder to ge I to it If below you, this can be problematic and you will need to be outside, add a door to get in and then play e a ladder

While using outdoor grow beds. If u see just five wheat or coco growing take out seed a replace it. I got 9 of each to grow this way makes easier to make flour and chocolate

I have: 2 T5, 3 T4, 9 T3, & 2 T2 Heaters. I have several clumps of ore extractors in the silver fields making me Super Alloy and Super Alloy Rods I also have locations all over Cleo's World that I'm using to terraform the world. I have an auto crafter making drones for me.

You can deconstruct blue worms and make golden worms from the bits, if you are willing to repeat the process a LOT. I think the farm is faster tbh. Also the farms can grow multiple sets of stuff. I have been able to get 3 sets of ingredients and I was barely trying to push it. I think the issue is if you take the seeds out when the planets have grown to a certain value it will reset/despawn them.

I built a series of ladders up from the top of the stairs that go to the building entrance, then built a huge platform maybe a little higher than yours. Teleporter and shredder in the middle, my insect biomass is screaming now with all these golden Bflys. It does seem to help if you slowly walk around and pick everything up to make things respawn.

I noticed, and this really is only apparent with Auto Crafters, that when you first build something that produces, like the Algae or plant the seed for the outdoor farm, it spawns with full stock but you can't see it. Try placing an auto crafter down and then placing an Algae generator down, you will see in the auto crafter ui that there is algae ready to use. Similarly, you can use the auto crafter to scan the area for larva, so just open the crafter and it will tell you how many larva are around you and what kind. Helpful if a golden one spawns in a weird place you can't see.

If you stand inside a living compartment and select to build a new one, you can place it on top from inside,, then build a stair, jump up and repeat, then you can go as high as you'd like. When you want new larva to spawn in, you need to pick up all spawned in Larva for more to spawn, hence you need to reload to get more to spawn in, if larva had spawned at your prevoius location.

The drones will not bring larvae from the hives. Best way is to incubate them or use T2 beehives.

What I noticed with the outside food farm is if you had one type of seed in it and let it grow to a 100% then collect them and swap the seed out for another type then both seed types will grow inside the one farm area at the same time. I did two farm beds one with coco and one with wheat then swapped them out. I had both types growing in one bed each giving me 5 produce of each so a single bed gave me 10 produce... I played for an hour and got enough wheat and coco to make a cake lol... but if you exit the game then come back then there is only one type growing at a stage and you have to wait till 100% grown then collect and swap the seeds over

Rare, fert, and mutagen. Cook them in an incubator and you can get a golden. If it doesn't give you a golden, recycle the larva and try again. I set up 8 incubators and just cycle through it.

When you turned off the demand on the storage(cobalt and titanium), you didn't turn on supply, which would have set the drones to empty the storage.

I’ve noticed that it also continues to grow whatever was in it before adding the wheat or cocoa and there will be a smaller yield f the latter each time. So I started taking the seeds out and putting them back in each time. Seems to have stopped it anyway. I finally found a few larvae - but still not many.

The cake can be stored in the trophy case, the croisont and cookie can be eaten or also stored. I'm hoping the dont disappear after the 2 weeks. Also, I unlocked the aquarium which can store 3 fish for % bonus. IMO the aquarium is not worth it. Three tilos eggs in the aquarium equaled the same amount of animals as one in a fish farm.

I think you're normally supposed to have unlocked the Aquarium T2 first, and use that to build up enough animals to unlock the fish farm.

Buggy tip: Outdoor farm keep crops even pull out seed. Sometimes doubled crops when spamming insert seeds.

Ok, do NOT reload your save, then it comes back as 5 on each, but it seems you can continously dismount and remount the seeds to increase the amount being grown.

Z I found out that there is a sort of limit how many spawn and If you just pick up the ones off the ground and place a shredder next to your teleporter and just dumb them in there for more to spawn and you'll have better chances of gold spawning

I said it in the last video but ill repeat it again - USE AN INCUBATOR IN THE WATERFALL AREA... you can craft them !!!! same recipe as the Blue One.... i filled up a dozen T2 butterfly farms (2 per farm) with golden... yes the craft percent rate isnt great but if u have a shredder and multiple incubators its really not bad
