Hi, I'm Dj Pierre Noll and I live in the Netherlands. I started this channel in December 2023 with the idea of putting some golden oldies mixes on it. In the meantime, this has gotten a bit out of hand, but in a positive way. I don't get paid for this and that's exactly my intention. It's nice to see that so many people are embracing this old music and it just makes them happy. If you have any tips for certain artists, feel free to let me know, and I'll look it up. Have fun listening and watching and peace to all. 0:01 Jerry Lee Lewis - Great Balls Of Fire/1961 1:50 The Swinging Blue Jeans Hippy Hippy Shakes/1964 3:29 Eddie Cochran C'mon Everybody/1958 5:13 Frankie Laine - Rawhide/1959 7:10 Ray Charles Hit The Road Jack/1961 9:00 Neil Levang - Ghost Riders In The Sky/1961 10:51 Jackpots - Jack In The Box/1968 12:45 Freddy And The Dreamers - I'm Telling You Now/1965 14:46 The Fortunes - Caroline/1964 16:38 Eddie Cochran - Summertime Blues/1959 18:30 Dave Clark Five - Catch Us If You Can/1965 20:23 The Phantoms - I'll Go Crazy/1965 22:24 The Searchers - Love Potion No. 9/1966 24:23 The Who - Happy Jack/1967 26:24 Johnny And The Hurricanes - Red River Rock/1959 28:27 The Applejacks - Tell Me When/1964 30:31 Eddie Hodges - I'm Gonna Knock On Your Door/1961 32:32 Jim Reeves - He'll Have To Go/1959 34:38 The Shadows - Wonderful Land/1968 38:21 The Swinging Blue Jeans - You're no Good/1964 40:31 Ruy Mitchell - Rock-A-Billy/1957 42:42 The Zombies - Summertime/1965 44:49 Chordettes - Lollipop/1958 46:56 Bobby Fuller Four - I Fought The Law/1966 49:10 Fruitgum Company - Simon Says/1967 51:18 Neil Sedaka - Oh Carol/1959 53:28 Brian Hyland - Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini/1960 55:43 The Beatles - Help!/1965 57:55 David Saville - Witch Doctor/1958 1:00:11 Johnny And The Hurricanes - Reveille Rock/1959 1:02:23 The Shoes - Na-Na-Na/1959 1:04:39 Chris Montez - Let's Dance/1962 1:06:54 The Beach Boys - Barbara Ann/1966 1:09:02 The Searchers - Don’t Throw Your Love Away/1964 1:11:11 Ricky Nelson - Travelin' Man/1961 1:13:29 The Zombies - She's Not There/1964 1:15:47 Dave Clark Five - Because/1964 1:18:04 Brenda Lee - Sweet Nothin's/1958 1:20:21 Del Shannon - Runaway/1961 1:22:35 Creedence Clearwater Revival - Lookin' Out My Back Door/1970 1:24:55 Guy Mitchell - Singing The blues/1956 1:27:15 Manfred Mann - Do Wah Diddy Diddy/1964 1:29:32 The Searchers - Sweets For My Sweet/1966

Same but one year younger and that is exactly what they are - good memories but they are more than that. I was in the pop musical business in the early sixties in London and was with Kenneth Hume Productions - he was an ex Pearl & Dean TV and Cinema commercial producer and Shirley Bassey's manager and husband. We did a few reasonable musicals with the likes of Billy Fury, 'I've Gotta Horse', with the famous dancer, Sheila O'Neil, who went to Broadway from the UK. I was in the recording studios like Abbey Road, where the Beatles recorded much of their compositions but the music generally had more rhythm and was harmonic. That is wy orchestras could take music form that era, especially the Beatles numbers and produce the same magic. I live in the Caribbean in retirement in my wife's birth nation and whilst the music is interesting with good beats, nothing seems to have the spectrum of musical charm we had for our generation.

I’m only 65, but still bop around my home to all the oldies, music well before my time, but I would look all the oldies up and listen non stop to it all, until one day my mother brought all her old records out and said.. here now listyto real music. Most were 45’s which didn’t fit my small record player. My mother was an ass most of the time, my father saw my problem and got me an adapter. Soon I was tossing most of my mother’s crap aside and went back to what I loved, not her junk from the 30’s and 40’s! My father walked past me and winked knobs had pissed my mother off I just nodded and smiled since if she had seen us and understood she would have gave us both a hard time. He wohave had to deal wit her sharp tongue and I would have been given a lot more work than my normal daily chores. She was quite vindictive! Probably where I get it from. I could give her a real run for her money before she died and she knew it! lol like I said she thyme how to be vindictive and I had become much better than she was! lol

Wow pour les Golden Oldies Video Mix ... Wow wow wow ! So long, prenez soin de vous.

I was born later...but my mother liked these songs...so if I wanted to play any music loud, I had the choice of classic rock 'n' roll, classic jazz (think Ella and Louis) or big band (like Count Basie). I had some weird music choices for someone my age.

Hey GBS. I was born in Dallas, TX, Dec. 1955. We couldn't help digging the music because there was so much of it to like. I had older siblings to tell me about 50's music and I pretty much figured out the 60's and 70's and beyond myself. I barely missed the Draft and didn't have to go to Viet Nam. I have often regretted not enlisting anyway but have great respect for all who did. My Dad was Navy and loved it. Anyway, it was a great time to grow up

I also saw The Platters at The Eastlake Football Club in Canberra, what fantastic harmonies they had, also saw Gerry and the Pacemakers at The Dickson Hotel Canberra.
