Yup. Caring people recognize when we're situated to share our lives with doggos (cattos, etc). At retirement, we are blessed with one sweet big dog. Sure wish hubby and I could have two, like we did, at times, 20 & 30 years ago. So, I have a neighbor's dog/house sit gig for an occasional fix, several times a year.

I waited until coming in to treat my pup and he 'learned' that going outside and then back in was what got him the treat. I started taking the treats out with me and giving him one immediately after and he then he figured it out.

He’s pretty much got the going outside to potty down. I wait to give the treat until he comes back inside so he gets use to going out doing his business and coming back in, unless i say he can stay outside to play.

How old is Ollie? 8 weeks? When I got my golden pup, he was 12 weeks old, and the breeder had trained him to go outside. However, I had to visit the breeder‘s place once a week for 10 weeks, or I didn’t get him. ( he was my first dog, so I guess that the breeder thought that I might not be responsible enough). I only had one accident, with mine. He was such a good dog. Miss him very much! Stay safe, stay sane,stay strong 🐶
