I often see dogs grab their toys, and shake them around, when they are their most excited. I think they go for their toys, because their favorite toys have a calming effect on them. When they are too excited, the toy helps them get out some of that excited

He just was a little bit scared of the giant wolf creature he thought was trying to get him, they just need a little bit of an adjusting period so they can take everything in before they are ready to challenge the big wolf in an epic battle where they can play to the death (nap time for the little one)😂

@@maxdevoplayz7222 Don't know what the owners did before the video. Would've let the puppy roam on his own to get his scent and be able to familiarize himself with the home. Let the older dog be separate and smell something that has the puppy scent on it. Get the two adjusted to each other's scents and then let them come together. Maybe that was already done. Maybe the older dog is just that energetic. The poor pup just needs a moment. He seems overwhelmed not just with the big dog but with his new environment. I would've cuddled the thing than just stood and laughed at him and the big dog.

Exactly this. The puppy has just been ripped away from everything he knew so far, then is put into a box for clicks and confronted with an unknown bigger dog. Better to let the puppy arrive at his new home in a separate room and let him meet the other dog later.

As cute as this is....show the bigger dog rules, boundaries and limitations when it comes to introducing another dog or any animal for that matter to the pack, just saying “gentle” without action doesn’t work, the little one was obviously nervous, introduce them in a crate, let them smell each other, it’s like out of the frying pan into the fire for a puppy

The owners need to do a better job in introducing the two of them. The puppy is scared witless and the golden retriever is super hyper. Anyone can own a dog, but a good owner is some who is diligent and hyper aware on the dynamics of a new puppy’s environment.

Yeah the puppy was scared initially. Then he wasn’t. I guess tiring the dog out would’ve been better but it’s not like it actually changed anything. Puppy still became comfortable in the home. Dogs know how to raise their own young better than humans do so it’s dumb to try to force their interactions unless the big dog is really dominant or something. Otherwise I feel it’s best to just let the dogs get to know each other

They know. They understand certain words you train them with and the pitch of your voice. If you feed them out of your hand they will bite your fingers accidentally to get the food but if you repeatedly take your hand away and say gently they soon understand what gently means and just nibble. People who are dog owners would know this.

It doesn't just seem so, it is more than obvious. And the folks are acting not in a good way a few times. Sassy was right saying that the puppy would be fine a few days later (see 05:50 which wasn't recorded the same day obviously), but to expose the puppy to that much stress is not an ideal start for him in his new home. Sure, it didn't traumatize the puppy and hence all's good, but the situation could have been handled more elegantly. (I'm not judging, we're all are humans and make mistakes!)

I always thought Goldens were the sweetest dogs, even full grown males. Then I went to puppy sit at a friends house who bred Goldens. I was holding one of the puppies when the male father dog came into the room. Now I weigh 205 pounds and I don't think that dog weighed 100, but oh my God was he fast and in my face and sniffing me and sniffing his son and sniffing me again and in a second I was bathed in sweat with an adrenaline rush and just sat down off balance. He wasn't aggressive, never barked or growled, just the closing speed threw me. I'll never underestimated a golden again. Anyway, this golden reminds me of that one so many years ago. Great dogs.

People often dont use Golden Retrivers as it was ment, but it has become a pet instead. Fine dogs, just also one of the breed that nibbles the most. Golden retriver stands for most bites out of all dogs on humans in my country, cause people use it as a pet rather then a retriver as it was ment to be.

The golden was definitely excited, but they should have tried to make him lay down and let the puppy explore... the environment, the bigger dog, etc. With the golden towering over the puppy and not letting him take more than a couple steps before getting in his business it was completely uncomfortable for the puppy. In later videos he seems to have come through it fine, but they could have done a much better job of introducing them.

Yeah, get a seperate place for the puppy to stay and get comfy, like a fenced off room and let them meet/get to know each other through a gate or something for a little while before shoving them together. Still, it is cute and the big bro was gentle and excited for the most part, so no harm I think.

Yep, they got there in the end, but it could have been much less stressful for the pup if the dogs' introduction had been done more slowly. Have the pup explore the house first; I would have had more physical contact with the puppy while meeting the older dog. Held it a lot more, perhaps. But still, the love at the end was super cute
