We have a funeral home in my town that has a Golden Retriever who comforts the grieving. She just lays her head on their lap and they pet her. My Mother's nursing home allowed therapy dogs. I think it's wonderful. I hope Oshie can do this. You guys are special. All dogs should have humans like you.

Deborah Troutman-Immink - oh so true. Like all Goldens, Oshie is gentle, kind, loving and very sweet. He'd be a perfect therapy dog. And he is blessed with such lovely parents. If there were more dog owners like this sweet, lovely couple, there wouldn't be any need for rescue centres.

I cannot even begin to imagine just how long it took before Oshie was totally clean. Good thing he and the sand are virtually the same color. Look at how happy he was, meeting a couple of distant cousins, digging for clams (maybe) and keeping up with that ball. Looks like the day was fun for all.

Karen Lou Camp Mutt just opened, and it's pretty much the only dog training place in town, so of course we signed him up immediately. They are great! Im not making a Necklace. I just pick up the teeth and put them in this jar that i have at home. I have a couple hundred. the beaches around here are covered in them! I think Oshie would love to be a therapy dog. He would enjoy the training and all the people he'd get to meet. 😊😍

Oh guys, this is the best one yet!! Love the beach - plenty of water to prance and splosh around in, your favourite ball to play with, and lots of lovely soft sand to roll around and dry yourself on, and of course dig a hole = one happy Oshie!! Just look at that smile! He's having a smashing time! Love him jumping the waves: Oshie the doggy surfer dude!! The hat and sunglasses were so funny. Just for a second it was like, 'No autographs please!' So cute. Don't blame him for wanting them off though. And the lovely rub down he got after his bath must have been the cherry on the cake of his perfect doggy day. Love you Oshie, our gorgeous boy!!

Judi O'Regan He loooves the beach. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot he was crying because he wanted out already. haha. He always takes off and runs into the water. Knows when the waves are coming and when to jump. He could fetch all day at the beach if he could and then roll around in the sand where he just dug a hole. There will be sand in the house for the next couple of days, but that's okay. We are glad he had a great time. 😊

Oshie is a sweetheart. For 13 years we had a golden, Maggie, and she loved the beach. She would do the same thing, swim, catch her ball then go roll on the sand. They are such love bugs and know how to enjoy life.

I loved the vlog, it was like spending the day at the beach with you. Oshie had so much fun, I think he will find the buried treasure next time he goes the beach. In the summer I bath my dog in a paddle pool in the garden. in the winter my son comes to the house to help me put him in the bath tub.

I just discovered Oshie's videos & they really help my anxiety & depression, too (I've read other comments about how watching Oshie is helpful and it definitely is.) Even on video you know Oshie will be a great therapy dog. I used to live in OC (Cypress) and we had a golden retriever named Sandy & she loved the beach, she'd dig herself a hole and relax and take a nap after swimming and throwing the ball. Like Oshie, she only dug at the beach. She died on New Year's Eve 2000 - enough time has passed that these beach videos are just like happy memories. Oshie is just awesome. Thanks for the videos.😎

So sorry about Sandy. Loosing a pet is always hard. Even if it happened years ago. We have heard that Oshie helps people with their anxiety and depression. This is one of the reasons why we decided to make him into a Therapy Dog. We will be able to take him to hospitals, clinics, retirement homes and to visit wounded warriors and make them feel better. We hope that he can continue to make you feel better!

Pumpkin the cat The Labrador I used to have hated his bath. No way would he had set still like Oshie. We had to trick him to take a bath. I let him go out to potty and get his bath things ready while he was outside and when he come to the gate I would take him by his collar or he'd run when he seen his shampoo and then have my kids help hold him so I could spray him once he knew there was no getting out of it he just sat all embarrassed looking because the cat sat and watched the whole time lol by the time his bath was over we all were soaked lol. He felt better after to be clean but still hated to get a bath.

my heart is so happy to see such a happy and handsome dog, just been a part of a family. And at the same time my heart aches for my friends had a dog just like him( like a just watching his double) love the beach and his final day of life he was at the beach playing and being happy, but his heart couldn't take that day's excitement , the lifeguards had to help them put in the car, straight to the vet, and that was his final day, with his sister, human sister and parents next to him, and it's sad because, I was his dogsitter and we had a special bond. There's not a better place to go but to a home where a loyal friend is waiting for you.❤💔🐶🐶

It makes me soo sad to hear that your friend lost a family member and you lost a special friend. We cannot imagine not having Oshie in our lives. He is our special boy and we love him soo much! Kristina Ortiz - yeah. It's the best part. My Mum's old collie Princess would prance around on Hastings beach, then get a good rub down, and she absolutely loved it cos she'd get cuddles as well. A dog's simple joys are so infectious.

Oshie would be a wonderful therapy dog. You should also think about taking him to visit people in the Nursing Homes. I used to visit a lady at one nearby (sadly she passed away last year) and there was this organization that had dog's come in once a month. Miss Daisy so looked forward to those visits. The dogs made everyone happy:)

He really enjoyed the beach! When is a Golden a SEAL? When he gets wet then sandy then wet and sandy. Anyone heading to BUDS should adapt the Oshie method of making it through! Totally loved watching him just enjoy the time at the beach. Of course his bath at the end got the usual Oshie squinty eye "are ya done yet look"

Oshie loved the water and more rolling in the sand and digging. It made me happy seeing him so happy. I loved the music too. I've been feeling not so good the last few days and this made me feel happier. I have only been watching a couple weeks and love Oshie.

Nancy De Avila Thank you. Seeing Oshie's smiling face and wagging tale is wonderful therapy for me. It helps my anxiety and depression. My niece told me about an app for anxiety and all that and it helped the first couple times but got to where it didn't anymore so I deleted it but Oshie and the Snow Dogs always bring a smile to my face and makes me laugh. I have PTSD from the abuse I went through in my marriage and I was married a long time. I have gotten over most of it but some things are lasting effects.I have some health issues too so just things going on beyond my control. I love animals and they know I do. Every time I walk up on one and their owner doesn't pull them away they walk right up to me wagging their tail. Just the other day a puppy Cocker Spaniel was outside my apartments playing with her Mommy and she ran right up to me. I bent down so she could give me those sweet puppy kisses. I love how you talk to Oshie. I used to talk to my Labrador like that too. He was a Momma's boy lol.

Just wondering, is there a reason why you guys didn't take the leash off when he was at the beach running loose? I have a golden retriever too and when I've just let her loose with her leash at the park before it's gotten tangled up on her leg. Just curious. Great video :)

maggie Thank you and well, unfortunetly, Beach rules: Dogs must be on a leash. We technically weren't supposed to let him run around without us grabbing onto the leash. We kept it on in case other dogs got near and weren't friendly. If we could, we'd have the harness and leaah off for him to run around free..

Just wait till Oshie gets to the Cali beaches! He's going to love it here, except the waves in the Pacific ocean are bigger than the Atlantic ocean. But I think I've heard that the water is warmer out west. And he'll be closer to China so maybe he won't have to dig as deep!
