Remake the original! The first two games were meant to be one big one - maybe they could expand it by having you take control of both parties - when one reaches a boss room, you switch to the other party (which until Lalivero would be just Felix and Jenna) and play how they got there (there'd be a lot of shortcuts, so they wouldn't be doing much levelling up). After Jupiter Lighthouse, the parties would combine as they did originally. And you'd be able to revisit the first game's areas once Teleport is unlocked at the end of the game, allowing you to get any Djinn missed - originally four would be unobtainable if you didn't transfer clear game data, locking you out of one of the bonus dungeons.

Oh, sooo good. For like two seconds, the music purist in me said, "aw, he slowed the tempo down a little, it would have been better at full speed" but I was so wrong. It was fantastic. Loved it. Wish it was longer, but it was great as it was. Would love to hear more covers from Golden Sun!

@Guy LeDouche mostly, keep in mind there was a very cryptic cliffhanger at the end of the second game which left Alex's fate undetermined. They could have left it there and say he died but they were definitely being purposefully cryptic to potentially produce another within the continuity that isnt extremely removed from the first 2 games.
