Trying a NEW Drukhari list with Lelith and Wyches at a Warhammer 40k Tournament in review. There are some Golden Tickets for the World Championships of Warhammer 40k on the line and I am competing to get myself one!
I play 6 rounds of competitive warhammer 40k over a weekend facing the World Eaters, Custodes (twice), Necrons, Tyranids and the Ironstorm Black Templars tank list.

Hey, I think your videos and your concept with the tournament lists and the customizations are great, you get me a really good feeling for writing lists. I already have a few first Drukhari boxes here and am planning to start an army on my own, including a Cronos/Talos box and somehow the Talos is more appealing to me at the moment. Enjoyed watching your game into Necrons! One tip with lelith, with sustained 2 you can average more hits by fishing and reroll every hit that isn't a 6

I bought my beast pack proxy from etsy, they have a few nice alternatives there. That said though I'm not entirely happy about the birds in my proxy unit as they feel just too big for that base. So thanks for the tip with the zombicide crows. I only have used them once so far. They weren't particularly bad but also didn't do a lot that game. I'm still trying to figure out how to utilize them best.

Great report as always. I've been really liking your style of list. Got a test game with basically your GT list but I swapped out the ravager for two reaver jetbike squads. I don't have a second beast pack so I'll make due. Hopefully they can do some splash damage as they do secondaries and move block.

@@SkaredCast the bikes were kind of meh. They did the screening thing just fine and were mobile but I already have a lot of that. I think I’m going to convert up a second beast pack. That thing was my all star.

Well, this is a tournament in review , different style to a battle report , but fret not the beast pack features in almost every battle I have had on the channel! :)

After playing into Necrons, Ironstorm, Custodes and Tyranids I would suggest a heat lance compared to the haywire on the Talos. The assault keyword matters, as well as its greater usability into beasts, monsters, mounted, and heavy infantry.

Hey Skari, I love your list and wanted to ask something. Is it more important to split the Kabalites or to transport Incubi in Venoms? (I'm asking because I own just 2 Venoms with 10 Incubi and 20 Kabalites)

Hmmm, depends on the game , but I would split the kabs , and then run 5 incubi and 5 other kabs in raiders

I’ve found success in running a two man unit of talos same load out as in the video with massive success. Clears my main opponents senintels and ogryn nicely as well as another armor target to bait shots away from my raiders I only run two venoms and feel dropping raiders for more will be a boon.

Scared that Druhkari might lose the beastpack when their codex comes out. Really one of my favorites niches that they fill in 40k, mirrors a bit of their Warhammer Fantasy style.

PS - do you have any good ideas for what to do with the haywire scourge unit if you're against non-vehicle lists/tyranids etc? Just wait for secondaries for scoring or use them as throw away screening unit I'm guessing? Just wondered if there's any other sneaky use...?

Interesting that you dont like the Ravager. I play 1-2 in my lists. I love them, as they are more reliable than Scourge without a pain token

Yeah, it’s the move and scoot that I can’t get enough of , and the ravager is just … meh when I use it .

totally agree, especialy if you are pain token starved, against custodes for example, i wish i could have watched those games and see the master at play so i can understand why he thinks that the poor ravager is a dead weight ^_^

it's the lack of move-shoot-move that kills ravagers. They aren't durable enough to sit in the open, and they don't have enough shots to reliably kill something in one activation

I'd love to know, what made Ravagers not effective? What was wrong with them?

Speaking from my personal experience, it's mainly that ravagers can't move after shooting, and so they have to get exposed. They aren't very durable so will often die on your opponent's next turn With 3 shots, they also aren't reliable enough to kill something in one activation. Neither are scourge, for that matter, but because they can move after shooting, you can usually get at least 3 activations out of them in a game

@SethTaylor-ol5rl I don't disagree about the advantages of moving after shooting with Scourge. The Ravagers being vulnerable after shooting has always been the case. That's not new, though. I was thinking that there was another variable in play this time around.

@@jonathanmiller5387 I think the main variable that is different, is that scourges are really good and fill the role the ravager used to fill, but better. If scourges weren't as good as they are, we'd likely have to settle for ravagers
