Congratulations on having one of the most beautiful Goldendoodles I've ever seen...anywhere‼️ My name is Bill, I'm 55-years old, and live in the Wilmington, NC area. I'm permanently disabled due to 4-near death auto accidents that were not my fault but rather those drinking and driving when they shouldn't have been. In short, I broke my neck in 3-places and was completely paralyzed from the neck down. After surgery to rebuild my neck, I spent 2-years and 2100 hours or therapy and regained use of my hands & arms 90%, could stand up on my own and take some very awkward steps, with severe limp on both sides, drop foot, and a very awkward gait. BUT! I could move about and was independent. 2 years later as I passenger the driver crashed off a 250 cliff in W.Va. I suffered numerous torn muscles and ligaments in my back and neck, broke my jaw in 3-places, 7-ribs, punctured lung, fractured skull, 23 micro fractured teeth, and 4 knocked out, plus 157 stitches to repair facial lacerations to right cheek, eye, ear, and neck. 5 years passed and I was hit by drunk driver who ran a Red-light. I broke my neck again, had another major surgery to rebuild and wire it together, but sustained additional paralysis setting back a lot of the improvements I had made over 7 years. 7 more years passed and I was rear ended while stopped in traffic on I-95 north in Woodbridge Va. I sustained spinal cord damage and disc damage and 6 years later finally closed my corporations and went out on disability. In 1991 I bought a beautiful Golden Retriever Puppy,...his name was "LEXUS". I spent a a lot of time and patience training him to be my assistance dog and just well trained fun dog to have. People still can't believe he could open and close doors, open refrigerator and get whatever can was on lower shelve, not to mention a ton of tricks. But mainly he was just a great friend, and man's best friend. He passed 12-years later in 2003. I want to get a goldendoodle and specifically one that's the color of yours or darker gold, auburn or reddish colored dark gold. I love the looks of your goldendoodle as they vary so much in looks and color. The fact they shed very little is the reason I'm not getting a pure Golden Retriever. Plus the Goldendoodle or Goldendoodle Minature are both smaller than a full grown Retriever which is a bonus for me. I share this story and my desire to get a Goldendoodle in hopes you can help Edcucate or teach some things to look for? I've trained numerous dogs and have a knack for it ... At least so far😃. Is there such a thing as finding one with more retriever looks in it? Like I said, your Goldendoodle is perfect as far as what I'd be looking for in a 7-8 week old male puppy. Are they good swimmers like retrievers? Like the water? Their demeanor seems to be that gentle - caring - and loving manner as seen in many golden retrievers? If you have the time and can share any advice, information, excellent, knowledgeable and skilled breeders that are extremely good at their work? I'm very much looking forward to the next steps in getting one to be a pet first and helper dog second. We have a single family home with nice big fenced in backyard that will be a great environment for training and exercise. If you really meant to say "250 foot cliff" let me say you must be exaggerating. Thats so impossible to survive thats like fall from the top of a 40 story high rise.

Yesterday I had my first experience seeing asn Goldendodle in person. As a matter of fact there were two, male and female. They were the friendliest animals I had ever seen. Very well behaved, their names were Norman and Bella. BEAUTIFUL Dogs.

aww i am sold! been dog hunting for awhile now trying to find the perfect balance between likes to chase the ball but not super hyper! do they bark a lot? i love how they look like puppies at any age. i am retired, need a companion dog, don't need the hair everywhere. ( i used to own cocker spaniels) looking for a breeder around the San Francisco bay area (i live in the east bay). you have a beautiful dog there, thanks for sharing him with us. 💕

It depends. Poodles are barkers and Golden Retrievers bark on occasion. If the Goldendoodle is bark trained, he/she will rarely bark.

I would recommend looking for one on petfinder.com , I never thought shelters would have golden doodles but they do!!! And your saving a life and I think that’s amazing in itself but getting the dog from a shelter is just the icing on the cake.

Goldendoodles are great dogs because they are part poodle. I have two Standard Poodles and they are the most obedient, intelligent, sweet dogs I have ever had. What is the advantage to Goldendoodles when you can just get a Standard Poodle? That being said....this is an adorable dog.

Goldens are great dogs as well! Way too many purebred Poodles I know have tons of allergy issues, auto immune and other diseases. Some people want the sweet Golden temperament, but not the shedding. This is a very nice mix of the two lovely smart breeds. Nothing wrong with it. Live and let live.

I have a nearly identical looking Goldendoodle myself and I can say with near certainty it's an F1 generation. There's a slight chance an F1B produced this look, but this looks like a classic F1 with it's wavy coat. Mine has a very relaxed and calm temperament and doesn't shed(though some will shed a little). They're such great dogs
