GoldenEye X: Installation tutorial

Hi everyone!
Today I give you a simple tutorial on how to install GoldenEye: X, or to phrase it better, how to patch Perfect Dark roms. This tutorial covers from the installation of the Setup Editor to launching the emulator.
Required to play GoldenEye X :
Perfect Dark v1.1 Rom
GoldenEye: X Patch
GoldenEye/Perfect Dark Setup Editor
Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Redistributable
Emulator (Muppen64++ or 1964 are the best choices)

that´s a wonderfull work you did, not only your country but also all america is enjoying all those team´s ideas (as you told), i think you should create a new video about how to use that goldeneye setup edition because im sure no one of us knows to take advantage of it, in my own case id like to create some new missions for perfect dark and others either i wouldnt be able to make them or i dont know if it´s possible, i wonder if there would be new perfect dark missions made by anyone.....

Great work on this tutorial, Yurei! I really hope it helps people through the process of patching their PD v1.1 NTSC ROM. It's a bit tricky, if you aren't already familiar with it.

It wouldn't start until I added ".rom" to the output file, so now it starts, but whenever I launch a mission, I only get James with no weapon, no music, no ennemies, no objectives, the entire level is empty and every door is unlocked, just like a debug mod. In Dam, it's the same plus there's no level, evrything's black. The only missions that work correctly are Silo, Frigate and Egyptian. Help ?

@HyDrEYuRei Yeh, only if the guy you want to play with is also getting unknown dump. I've gotten enough feedback but they are clueless. I just made my emulator use 16k eeprom I believe it was. That finally allowed me to play GE: X to myself :]. Thanks !!

when i try to download the MVC 2008, it tells me there is an unspecified error and i completed the windows update it recommended if any problems, so im unsure of what to do now, is there a solution?

HyDrEYuRei !! My rom remains Unknown Dump. Yes I got the recent .ini from goldeneyevault, still no luck to GE:X. & so, I'm pretty much screwed eh ? lol. Superb upload regardless. Cheers

@HyDrEYuRei Yesss. Your vid was clear enough that I could find it. In case you're interested, that Retro guy released a version 3 of this in the same thread. It is very powerful. I love it. But..I got up to Area 51 Infiltration, and the rom hangs. Doesn't get to the intro cutscene it just stops..

go into your settings, and you should find ex pak somewhere there. At least thats how it works for mupen
