And honestly, real inventive to boot. Personally opted to try and give Alexis two deck options, Cyber Angels being a lot more beatdown-focused, while Ice Counters would've been more control-oriented.

Some further insight into the combo of Snowstorm Ritual and Angel. The idea was to give Ice Counters a major benefit, as well as quick interaction. 4 seemed a reasonable level for the investment of getting two specific cards set up and distributing the needed Ice Counters. The second effect of Snowstorm Ritual was actually made to combo with Snow Dragon (not Snowdust Dragon), which floods the opponent's field upon any destruction, including from the hand. So use Ritual to summon Angel, Tributing 2-4 monsters, then use Ritual to destroy a Snow Dragon you have to place 4 counters on Angel, cranking her up to 3200 ATK. Snow Dragon then floods the opponent's field with counters, powering her up even more and letting her attack everything, just everything in sight. Angel's own destruction effect serves two purposes, the first is protection. Nothing excludes her from summoning back herself. The second is pivoting/counter generation. Again, using Snowstorm Ritual's effect you can destroy Angel (even from hand), place 4 counters, then summon a hecking choncker to take advantage of the popsicles your opponent's field has become, like Ice Master.

You should take a look at the fan cards from other archtypes, however convoluted. We’ve all had a moment where we started workshopping cards, even if it was just in thought. Would be awesome if those people who have invented their own support for certain cards get recognition. I myself have an entire notepad dedicated to support for the Sun and Moon Dragons Rex Goodwin used in 5-D’s. I always loved the day to night cycle mechanic and felt like they deserved a bit more cards to support them. It currently consists of 17 finalized cards and a couple more I have yet to build. Expanded on the Incan themes as well. Couldn’t illustrate any artwork so I took on describing the artwork instead. Would happily put that kinda stuff out there.

Honestly? Mood. Personally got some retrains to Bandit Keith's Fiendish Engine cards, and some extra troops to Bastion's undead army, along with custom archetypes of varying quality, mainly based on some of the card professors of Yugioh R, plus some original archetypes I was trying to cook for an MC.

This was really fun, Id love to see this as a more common thing. Having us veiwers hivemind our way to making synergistic support cards. That being said I cant BELIEVE I FORGOT OPTs on the searches. Im in shambles. Also the "one type of counter" thing was absolutely to avoid the issue of having both Spell Counters and Snow Counters on the card at the same time.

Eyyyy, I got in! Honestly didn't expect to, but feels good But yeah, meant from the deck for Frost Tiger, just forgor to add it in. The duplication summon was intentional because 1) I loved spamming Hydrogeddon and 2) Frost Tiger got a copy of itself sculpted in the manga, so a fun ref thataway. And yeah, turned it into a Spellcaster to better work with Alexis' other cards, and it felt apt-ish since Endymion has some Spellcaster beasts. And yeah, it was built for more of a GX-5D's-ey era, as I'm planning a fic... which is also why there wasn't a Link-1 to search Tundra. As for Empress, yeah, she was meant as a way to negate cards in a unique way, since iirc, one of the manga RDA upgrades can cause spells to fizzle out, since their effects got negated. And the Lv5 requirement was meant to make her a more climactic boss in a story duel, so you couldn't get her out too quickly and easily. Also splashability And yeah, had the EDOPro folks help teach me proper PSCT.

Hey, i made an entire Nordic overhaul, by retraining and vreating new aesir cards. Did the same with the main deck nordic monsters. I am really proud of it and i would like to send them to you, so you can review them in your next custom card video. Sadly they would be way to much for a single comment section.😅

Icebound Snowplains - Shouldnt destroy just from 1 FIRE monster being summoned. Maybe remove an Ice Counter from the field or destroy the card first or just have FIRE monsters not being able to have Ice Counters on. Remove the 3rd effect because its just Snowdust Dragons effect. Glacier Empress - Controlling 2 high level monsters is too hard. Should be only controlling 1 Ice Counter monster or 2 monsters on the field with Ice Counters on. Frost Tiger - Should give protection (from battle or card destruction) to your other monsters with Ice Counter effects. Should also just give an Ice Counter to any monster on attack declaration not just against a monster, and any monster including your own. Should Special Summon any monster that has Ice Counter effect to get Ice Master out. Frozen Palace of the Sweeping Tundra - Icebound Snowplains is just a better Field Spell so make it a Cont. Spell. Give it a Special Summon effect when opponent does something (such as uses a monster with an Ice Counter for the summon of a monster from the Extra Deck). Snowstorm Ritual - Better or if it could Tribute any monster(s) from hand or field including monster(s) that have an Ice Counters on with a combined total Level equal to 8 or more (yes 8, not 4. Works better with a higher Level, and higher chance of being able to Tribute off more of your opponents monsters). Also instead of the second effect, id have it being able to add back to the hand in some way. Maybe if a monster would Tribute for cost (such as Ice Master), you can remove an Ice Counter instead, and if you do, add itself back to the hand (to use for following turn). Snowstorm Angel - The changes id make would go work better with Ice Master, that being that when summoned, adds an Ice Counter to a monster, and then destroys S/T Cards your opponent controls equal to Ice Counters on the field. (Cos Ice Master destroys all monsters so this is the S/T destruction counterpart). Also because I gave the Ritual Spell an effect that works with Tributing, id then have to give Snowstorm a Tributing effect. So maybe instead of its 4th effect id change it to (Quick Effect) Tribute 1 monster you control that has an Ice Counter on it; Special Summon 1 WATER monster from either players GY to your field. Absolute Ice Barrier - nice card, but Icebound Snowplains sounds and looks like a better Field Spell, so id make this another Cont. Spell Card. Ive lost track of if theres any overlapping effects, so for the sake of me tryna figure that out, lets just leave the first 2 effects in there. The 3rd effect is nice but change it to Tribute instead, and cos the following card is a better Snowdust Dragon, just make it be able to add any WATER monster with an Ice Counter effect. Okay and so for my contribution and ideas, ill go with 3 cards. A "Circular Stratos", a broken Link 1, and the standard negate Trap. Chillborn Knight WATER Level 4 Warrior You can send 1 card that mentions "Ice Counter", except "Chillborn Knight", from your Deck to your GY; Special Summon this card from your hand, also you can only Special Summon WATER monsters for the rest of this turn. If a monster is Normal or Special Summoned to your field while you control this monster with an Ice Counter on it (except during the Damage Step): You can add 1 Spell/Trap that mentions "Ice Counter" from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Chillborn Knight" once per turn. Snowdust Fairy WATER Link 1 Aqua 1 monster that mentions "Ice Counter" on it Cannot be used as Link Material. While you control another monster that mentions "Ice Counter", your opponent's monsters can only be Special Summoned in Defense Position. During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): Add 1 monster that mentions "Ice Counter" from your GY to your hand. If an Ice Counter is placed on this card: You can draw 1 card then discard 1 card. You can only use each effect of "Snowdust Fairy" once per turn. Iceblast Storm Normal Trap If your opponent activates an effect or declares an attack of a monster with an Ice Counter on it: Negate its effect, then destroy it. You can banish this card from your GY, and target 1 WATER monster in your GY; Special Summon it, then place 1 Ice Counter on a monster on the field. You can only use each effect of "Iceblast Storm" once per turn.

Hi hi, nice suggestions, though, to expand a touch on my cards here; Glacier Empress; Hmm, maybe, though re; the Level 5 thing, I made that as to not make Empress too splashable of an option in decks, Quickie negation and what-not. Plus, I did make some cards that weren't featured here, but in my original video, including a higher-level monster that can summon itself out and then spread more Ice counters, along with providing protection from card effects to the whole archetype. Frost Tiger: As Nova sorta pointed out, this wasn't really planned for the modern era, but more 5D's-ish time, but to address your points; - Again, I had made another monster that provided effect protection, and with the amount of ATK reduction going around, battle protection didn't feel necessary -- plus, balancing. Y'know, giving options to out a deck. - I had made another card that spreads Ice Counters when attacked, though admittedly, it could be edited into a more field-wide buff for the archetype. - That's a bit too much, even outside of what I'd made these cards for. Because that sort of effect really limits what sort of monsters you can make. Frozen Palace: Me and the others didn't exactly collaborate on these cards, so you preferring Snowplains as a field spell is no water off my back. Plus, Alexis' Ice deck already has a mild crowding issue when it comes to backrow. - Mmm, see, you really ought to read the manga, 'cause Alexis already has a card that sorta does that; Cold Fusion. Yes, it only works on Fusion monsters, but point being; that sort of effect feels more apt of a flavor on a trap card, gifting the ice counters of the mats onto the new ED monster. Personally, I think Absolute works just fine, as an archetype having different deck options within the archetype is fine and dandy for diversity, and lore. Now, to give some feedback of my own: Chillborn Knight - I don't know about the others, but I made Tiger a Spellcaster for a very specific reason; Alexis' Ice deck really cares about WATER Spellcasters, namely with Snowjade Princess and Ice Doll, the latter also being a stratos for the archetype.

I'd love more videos like this, maybe for Metalmorph or Lightsworns (not just because I've made customs for those recently and their some of my favorites). But in general custom cards are really fun and I'd love more videos like this one

I have an idea for an archetype that would be based around the Bonds Beyond Time duel. Of course, it would include retrains of Dark Magician, Neos, Yubel, Junk Warrior, Stardust Dragon, and Dark Magician Girl. However, I would expand it to Utopia and the dimension dragons. And there is one DC comics hero that a HERO retrain of Dark Magician can reference: Doctor Fate. Of course, the retrains of the monsters mentioned above would be under a new HERO archetype that I would call Legacy HERO and like Harpie Queen always being treated as Harpie Lady, the retrains will always be treated like the original cards that they are retrains of. The archetype would have a be a pendulum archetype for the sake of the Odd-Eyes retrain though and proper pendulum scales for pendulum summoning from the extra deck level/rank 8 and higher monsters.

I thought that XYZ monsters were the evolution of counters, but they aren't the same so it's ok to have them, just not as interesting. The whole point is to restrict usage of card effects to a resource. Adding stats with counters would be cool, maybe there should be generic counters that have a universal effect for every monster, like the stat boost mentioned, or a specific effect.

ice bound snow plains just needs the 4th effect removed and it'll be fine. other than that. it's a pretty solid card. just prime ash bait. in any case if your opp is dumb enough: the 4th effect can even bait out ghost ogre.
