It's come to my attention that the new errata for Armory Arm does NOT actually revert it's functionality to how it used to work, and thus, the Armory Arm OTK is not currently viable. I'm sorry for to spread this misunderstanding, and once the Supercut version of Yusei Explained is released, I'll make sure this gets changed to reflect that. In the meantime, I hope you'll enjoy that segment as a bit of a history less, because performing the equivalent of "Stop Hitting Yourself" over and over again to win the game was still very funny.

My favorite memory of Armory Arm was playing Yugioh World Championship 2011: Over the Nexus for the DS, dueling Primo, and beating him down using Armory Arm equipped to Junk Synchron of all things. More relating to our topic at hand, maybe it's the fact that 5Ds was the first series I actually remember being able to catch somewhat regularly, but Stardust Dragon and co have always had a spot in my heart and are arguably the reason why I like Yugioh on a thematic level. Either way, here's to however they'll continue to improve and add to this theme, amongst others of course.

Honestly i miss when folding 4+ monsters into one card was as difficult and as flashy and cool as it was when Shooting Quasar was the kind of monster that took 4+ materials to summon. Now any old monsters cause just be dumped into the trash compactor that is link summoning to make a ‘boss’ monster

Makes sense Links are so easy to summon. Konami tried to nerf the Extra Deck with Links, made them super splashable so Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, &/or Pendulum decks could use, *BUT* they had to have LV7/8 equivalent aces, so they ended with their own bosses. Note: I am elaborating on their incompetence.

@@agimb2381 Synchros did not really have limits beyond "needs a Tuner," which is not anything really, while Links care about placement literally have no DEF. Frustrating how traditions screwed things up. Protagonist has to have a LV7ish ace of 2500 ATK that can be brought out with two monsters, like Firewall's introduction using two -code Talkers, and the rival needed a dragon of 3000. Worse than that is how their evolutions are literally just one marker higher instead of something that could use them. Still no idea what a Link-8 could be like.

Besides Stardust Dragon, Stardust Warrior is the only other Stardust Synchro monster that tributes itself for it's effect, so they're the only two monsters that work with Wish.

I always have to praise the german localization team on the Junk Archetype. Translating Junk as "Gerümpel" instead of "Abfall" or "Müll" fits Yusei as a character _so_ well.

@@jackferring6790 Gerümpel mostly means "old and useless stuff", it _can_ be used to describe "old stuff" (that is not useless) in general though. And that fits both Yusei's deck as well as overall situation incredible well. As the people from the city see the inhabitants of satellite like they are junk not worth a second look as well. Instead of Fighting this notion he rather embraced it. If you ask me his early Ace Gerümpelkrieger/Junk Warrior is like the "Monster Mirror Image" of himself.

27:34 it’s pronounced “Ekeest” in the Dub of the anime, which indicates French, but the French translation is just Equist, which has to do with equity. Maybe they’re saying the dragon knight inherits the “equity” of another dragon by absorbing its effects? Or maybe they’re going for the loose Latin translation mentioned in the wiki? About the colossal arm burn combo: I've tested it on ygopro, and because colossal is a when trigger effect, it must resolve and revive itself before armory arm resolves and apply the burn effect. As long as colossal fighter is no longer on the gy when armory arm resolves, the burn effect isn't applied. HOWEVERR! This strategy is still possible as long as you have two colossal fighters crashin into the monster equiped by armory arm and revivng one another instead of itself, so the arm bunr effect can be applied.
