tbf the only thing that does is make monster zones less obnoxious since you usually summon all 5 names at the same time for VWXYZ

Honestly, this feels like the first attempt at a proper Super Sentai reference beyond just fusion monsters that just go together like Gaia the Dragon Champion. Plus, being machines makes that work even further. Especially when we consider generational gaps that fit the theme of crossovers like Super Sentai have done… including combining Zords from different teams together lie Wild Force and Ninja Storm, and in a similar vein: Lost Galaxy with Lightspeed Rescue. (Yes I’m using Power Ranger names with Super Sentai title, but I don’t follow the names for Super Sentai, so forgive me.)

Honestly I adore this line up of monsters and the fusions actually look like fusions of different monsters unlike a bunch of modern fusion monsters.

The really old Fusions were just as wonky but with whatever 2 cards they felt like, rather than any 2 anything. Fusions with a named material generally look like a Fusion that involves that card, with Anime HERO being some of the best examples.

@@runningoncylinders3829 oh I agree but at the same time I argue modern fusions are worse in this regard like starving venom for example doesn't look a fusion of anything it just looks like a cool dragon. Wich is fine but I would've preferred modern fusions to look like fusions shekinaga is one of the few modern fusions I can think of that actually looks like a fusion.

@@nightmarearcade2663 It’s worse yet that Starving Venom seems to encapsulate the vibe of a generically strong looking card being considered a Fusion by mechanics, even amidst the other Dimension Dragons that do a bit better job of playing to the motifs of their mechanics. What’s funny is that it seems like we can look back to about Arc-V when Fusion was first starting to break itself into generic summons. Others will say Fusion from Deck broke it, but that’s not on visuals. What drives me up a wall is how much Fluffal was on the right track. Fuzzy toy plus bladed fiend makes a spooky feral toy. They always looked like a combination of something. Even the newer Ancient Gears dipped into some of the Metagross idea of fusing, not unlike the way ABC or the Gate Guardians had been. For some other Arc-V aces as the mechanic approaches being generic it puts out the big bosses as the Fusion, which is mostly true to this day. But stuff like Garura or Guardian Chimera doesn’t sit right. Even if the thing ends up looking like a combination of entities, if it looks nothing like the materials it might as well be a Link or an Xyz instead.

Regulus works perfectly in ABC. An omni-negate and extender as you can summon any piece after its been equipped to Regulus. It's amazing

I couldn't get enough of the latter arcs in the books (RIP Matoro) or Mask of Light (Takanuva is the GOAT). But The Legend Reborn is just the best movie ever. P.P.S. Did you know that a LOT of the words/motifs--such as "Mata Nui"--were ripped from Maori culture/language (if not also other Polynesian cultures)?

I know this video was long enough, but it's worth mentioning that they also played well with the honorary Cyber Dragon, Galaxy Soldier. It was another LIGHT Machine discard outlet that set up Infinity, ergo a way around Nibiru at 4 summons. Plus Union Hanger was used often to attach Photon Orbital as a search option for Galaxy Soldier.

I've always loved these cards, it made me feel like a Lego maniac while dueling since I could mix and match my monsters. Personally I say we need more fusions of the XYZ mons combining with the ABC', heck, let V&W join in on the fusion fun.

All they have to do is errata Union Carrier to be Union-specific. But no, they'd rather have an easy fix rot on the ban list. Same with Halq, make it Crystron-specific and it can come off the list.

I have played abc exclusively as my primary deck since the day they came out in english. Its gone through various partner engines since then to keep up with the times but is no less fun to pilot. And yes, i do listen to the relevant jackson 5 song whenever i play the deck in Master Duel.

OG Gattai Deck. I had a blast with ABC DPE AFD 60-pile deck last Duelist Cup in MD, so sad that it got powercrept so hard. Edit: Regulus is the must in deck, equip him with any Union in GY then summon said union to extend further.

Hey Nova Loved the video but at 14:38 you said there isn’t a way to cheat out the A-Z Dragon Buster Cannon but hear me out. In Duelist Nexus there was a card Called “Fusion Armament “ which will eliminate the X,Y &Z bricks leaving just the A,B &C monsters. Wondering what you think about that? 😅Anyway keep up the good work 👍

Fusion Armament can't summon XYZ. XYZ's summon condition can't be ignored the closest you can get to cheesing A-to-Z is by sending ABC and XYZ from ED to GY and doing something like Flamberge move XYZ to S/T zone Regulus target ABC to equip it and special himself where you can then banish ABC and XYZ since A-to-Z says you have to banish the cards you control with that original name it never says they have to be monsters on field

So there’s a reason I chose this one for my first quasar commander video. My first ever pet deck getting back into yugioh in 2021 was Buster blader… However, nova already covered that video and there hasn’t been any support released outside of rebirth judgment, and even then that was already a tech pick. So about a year or so ago ABC dragon Buster was released from prison at his full power without any form of parole or anything he was a free, machine, I guess… So one day I decided I want to build a deck around ABC dragon buster, so I went to one of my good friends who’s really well known for making ABC and he gave me a basic core and from there I just built a deck that I can use and cater to my play style. I already had a good chunk of the link monsters I use, and it was only a matter of coming up with cards I like to use to facilitate the link and XYZ spam play that I love using for this deck and even after my at the time most powerful deck in Branded got hit on master duel. I still have this beautiful dragon toy in the background ready to wreck lives . So I definitely have a soft spot for ABC dragon buster.
