Fantastic video! Love the information you give in your products here. I wish I had one of everything you've shown here! 👍🏻 Your paint is awesome, your generous nature sent me some samples to try. I expected small packets, but you sent 1oz tubes! I can't thank you enough for you generosity!! I love your paints!

Best paint in the world for artists. Huge color payoff, never fades, and spreads like butter. I happily pay more for the Golden quality.

I just tried Golden Heavy Body acrylics for the first time, and they are fantastic! I can't wait to try to Open line next.

Great demo, but I was wondering when you did the sample board- was that end shot when they were DRY? I'd like to see how their transparency when dry compares.

Just a quick question about the mediums: Can the Golden Open Thinner and Medium be combined with acrylics of other brands without excessive alterations in the quality and how can one imagine the prolonged openness of the paints?
@GoldenPaints11 ай бұрын
Yes! OPEN Thinner, Medium, Gel and paints are compatible with the rest of our “regular” acrylic products. OPEN Thinner behaves very much like GOLDEN Retarder in regards to increased painting time. justpaint.org/?s=retarder The rest of the OPEN products contain both the slow drying additives and a unique acrylic binder that allows them to be reworkable even if they are touch dry. Afterwards, when all of the additives have left the paint film, the paints lose their sensitivity and they become permanent. When you blend OPEN products with the regular ones, the percentage of OPEN dictates the amount of added painting time as well as how quickly they set up. goldenartistcolors.com/resources/open-acrylic-colors#OngoingResearch

I love the golden fluid line. I haven't tried the others. I'd love to use them more but they are very expensive

What I like about fluid acrylics is how well they blend and how shiny they dry. Do all Golden paints have the same finish?
@GoldenPaints5 жыл бұрын
Hello Christella, this is a great question! No, all colors do not have the same finish (or surface sheen, from gloss to matte). This is because the pigments impart their qualities into the paint and we don't attempt to achieve a certain consistency (as other manufacturers might) by putting additives and fillers in the paint to create a uniform surface quality. Pigments have a pretty wide range of shapes and sizes (as particles) and that directly affects the surface quality after the paint dries.

Can i use the original heavy body GOLDEN ACYLIC paint inside of my AQUARIUM on my 3D printed decorations.. and use it as a protective sealer as well..
@GoldenPaints Жыл бұрын
Hi, there. Thanks for the question. Golden Acrylic are not suitable for underwater applications. We do not recommend their use in aquariums. We'll share this response on the other videos where you asked this question in case other artists were wondering the same thing.

Thank you! One of the best videos I've seen by Golden. But please speak a wee bit slower and emphasize the name of each product so at the end of the video we've really learned what you are showing us. Golden products are THE BEST! I haven't used any other acrylic paint, mediums or gesso in many years. So grateful for your company.

Really agree. Great video, but slow it way down, spend more time on each topic and demo, and label/caption the products and processes, especially at the end where there were no labels on the demo boards themselves.

houstonqt Funny, I was thinking the same thing about the video going too fast. I was especially interested in the fact you could use fluid with some kind of ground to paint under paintings. This would really save a ton of paint! I really love Golden

Thanks for the feedback! We'll keep that in mind as we produce more videos.

@@houstonqt That's true Houston ! it's not labeled clearly enough and it's too fast. Obliged to slow down the video to understand. Otherwise Bravo to Golden for these explanatory videos. Still a little work and you will be perfect!

this has nothing to do with the video, but I just bought my first two tubes of Golden and I cannot believe how much better they are than student grade. It really is like painting with softened butter and a little goes such a long way

why are all modern acrylic paints (golden included) dyes transparent ie over the black stripes golden swatch on tubes every single one of the colors shown in the video is 80% transparent, and all the mediums shown are white not clear its impossible to judge the final colour until the milky white medium has dried and gone clear
@GoldenPaints2 жыл бұрын
Hello DR - there is too much to unpack in this venue, but GOLDEN does not use any dyes in its paint, only pigment. Transparency varies by pigment, and is generally consistent for any medium (oils, watercolors, etc.), clear in the wet-state binders are tricky, there are some acrylic binders that are less milky, but virtually all binders (oil and watercolors included) contribute to some degree of "dry shift" in color. Judging the dry-shift takes a great deal of practice, and it typically more pronounced in darker color than lighter ones. If you want to mitigate both transparency and color-shift, you might experiment with our Molding Paste as an extender. This video shows a 20% paint to 80% mixture with two gels and molding paste - time lapse - and you'll see how the blue gets much darker with the gel and changes very little with the Molding paste: vimeo.com/370903747
