It astonishes me to this day there's some guy who got arrested 6 years for telling a person trolling him to die in the game, but every single day thousands of other players have hour long heated public arguments and doxing and threats of murder and threats of assault and all that stuff just over a pvp clan, or a pvm spot, or a merch clan, or a player owned house group, or anything really. There was evidence of conspiracy to actually go through with threats on his comp. The drunken comments he made and jagex contacting law enforcement just got him caught before he actually did something. A lot of details are online

@@Kyle211919 dating a player who was heavily involved in gold selling, it's estimated she was making around $10,000 a month off of old school gold. She would do this through pvp worlds, and would require hefty entry fees into her clans. Because of this relationship, Trident would ban anyone she asked him to, the banned people would typically be anyone asking her too many questions, calling her out for a bizarre gold monopoly, and potential rivals.. Odablock was one of the people banned for calling her out for this, and once jamflex decided to finally look into all the bans from Trident, they were exposed to everything that had been happening. The girl in question has since been IP banned and i believe jagex is actively keeping her out of the game.

The other mods brought up a "bug" that involved cats being able to chase and catch spiders. Reach looked extremely guilty when they brought it up and looked pretty embarrassed.

I mean you could turn the VPN off to stop getting DDOSed. But that's after they've already started the attack, cut off your connection, and logged you out of the game. By which point it doesn't matter anyway. So a VPN in this case wouldn't change anything

Some would still do that because people are greedy and shameless. With that said, Jagex is famous for paying extremely poorly (to an extent pay being low-ish is understandable given it's a niche game that doesn't have big turnover, but not to this extent), and so it's pretty clear that at least in some cases it's just people who love the game, want to work on it, and see it as a way to claw back some of the wages they really ought to be getting. It's Jagex's own fault really - yes, it's a niche game with a limited market, but I'm pretty sure the playerbase could fund reasonable mod wages if the problem were explained to them in detail in some manner.

at 12:00 how can people be chocked folks were saying this back in rs classics days, these guys get payed low wages at a gaming company not shocked their gonna hack accounts or rwt and make money. Say the mod gets payed 50k a year, he can easily make 150-300k a year causally selling rs gp. The problem is your making people who play the game into mods, these folks are gonna have their own moral codes of how the game should be and do things, like what mod reach did by making so crystal bow raggers could never speak to elves again. The problem with games is as folks get older they start bringing real life morals/politics into game design and updates in the game, so now people in the wilderness have special titles oh iam pker oh iam pvmer, when it clearly states if your in the wilderness anyone can attack you and to beware you could lose items. Look at this new bounty hunter update not only did they spread out pkers even more they added a stupid pvp honor code and directly changed game mechanics. They should have just left pking in the wilderness instead now their killing pvp even more. They removed overhead-prayers and added pj timers etc. You know the reason these changes were never done back in the day its because the pvp system balanced itself out. If you did over-head prayers you would drastically slow the pace of the fight and players would just avoid you and you would get no kills, thats why no one used over-head prayers it gave no major advantage in killing players. It was only used defensivly if running away or if attacked by team/clan in multi zone. In osrs using over-head prayers gives you a advantage because the system is to responsive players with hhk or hacks or fast gaming mouses and keyboards with low latency can switch over-heads very fast and get off massive damage while the enemy has the wrong over-head prayer up. They should have balanced ancient magicks then from the start of osrs and limited the freeze time to 11 seconds max.

To be quiet honest nearly all of Jmods don't have word of trust. I remember when osrs first released Jmods promised never implement things that make the game easy, option of microtransactions or force an update or " pride gay events " without players 75% passing poll. Guess what they never held their promise even old youtube videos they removed them so they don't called out, this is why many veterans quit.. its basically taking same path in rs2.. just give it some time and you'll see new upcoming players calling to change combat mechanic to match world of warcraft you can see the proof every new easyscape poll idea its getting passing rate of 95% Jagex is responsible for this allowing to ruin integrity of game just to earn more money for company. History repeating itself in a nutshell

Months later when I wanted to join another event, I found I was on the ignore list and banned. He might have thought I was taking a slot up from someone else, but the reality is I was going to leave shortly after wishing good luck. With the friend's chat cap now being raised to 500, I don't think we'd see issues like this anymore. Or are instances still capped to 100-200? Also a lot of the Pmod events pretend to care about people but in reality they just want faster pets. I don't blame them for that btw, but they also give similar shit that Mod Lee used to do as well sometimes. Fake friends.

I have (had) and account that had 12 Sanata hats. account created in 2003 ish.. tried to log into the account again (runescape regular) and couldnt. account recovery indicates that the username does not ,exist. account was a level 3 that hadnt been logged onto since 2006 ish, and 0 people knew it had wealth on it. RS won't help. i wounder how that went down..

Internet Provider CAN ALWAYS SEE WHAT YOU DO. VPN's are for sources outside (ie. police, hackers etc. NOT YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER). Only way to prevent is going on Tor which in that case they'll know you are on Tor, just not what you are doing. Don't spread lies.

Wrong. Your stuff would be encrypted by the VPN client on your device, and get sent to your VPN provider through your internet provider. The VPN provider then decrypt and send it to the true destination. They then encrypt the response, and send it back to you. The VPN provider will see whatever you’re up to, but your internet provider will see a bunch of encrypted nonsense going to a VPN provider.

Another rumor about mod reachs termination was that he wanted to fix kraken and make it actually do damage, and management said he couldn’t because “it was now a feature” but he fixed it anyways and tried to push the update without telling anyone

Not true. He was trying to sneak in some code that allowed him to dupe/spawn huge amounts of gold. It involved interacting with cats and getting them to "chase" spiders and other npcs. Theres a livestream of the mods exposing him indirectly, its quite funny actually.
