I usually hate the 'dark' concept of boygroups. Many of them are full of negative emotions like anger or betrayal. Although Golcha is also going through that 'dark' phase, I do appreciate their different approach. For those who are confused as to why Seoyoon (the girl, Bomin's gf/ Sungyoon's little sister) is able to slowly turn back into a human is bc I believe the "zombie" concept is really symbolism for the struggles we go through in life... how hardships can eat us up. That's why Bomin's hug seemingly “cures” her bc a hug is something we might just really need to remind us there's someone there supporting and caring for us, and their support helps us persevere through the difficulties in life. However, sadly, there are times a hug/loved one's support isn't enough, as in the case of Jaehyun's mom. Although Jaehyun is trying to comfort her, the hardships she may be facing are unbearable for her to the point that she turns into a zombie (could signify taking one's life). If you read the webtoon, she texts Jaehyun "Son, I'm always thankful to you. I'm so sorry. I love you" which is a text that's not uncommon to read in a sui*ide note . Scene 1. So, apparently during the apocalypse, Y with his sister, and her boyfriend, Bomin faced with zombies. The girl and Bomin made to run away from the attacking zombies, while Y sacrificed himself to protect them, and later escaped. The girl was bitten by zombie, and infected. She chose to run away from Bomin and tie herself not to hurt him. Bomin also chose to stay by herself till the end. As for Y, he would do or die by attracting all zombies towards him with the fire, and probably burn them down. Scene 2. There appeared Joochan and the injured Tag running away from zombies. The injured Tag asked Joochan to shoot him in the head because he was afraid he would become a zombie and hurt his friend. Both chose to survive together while shooting zombies with the gun. Scene 3. The 3 out of the squad, Seungmin, Jibeom and the injured Donghyun, were collecting supplies from a bus. Donghyun seemed to get hurt while searching out for food and supplies. The latter two, Daeyeol and Jangjun, went out to look for medicine for Donghyun. The two run into zombies in the medical room. Daeyeol escaped with the medical supplies, due to the sacrifice of Jangjun. The trio left in the room seemed to be attacked by zombies. (The room was already messed up when Daeyeol came back.) Jangjun later reunited with Daeyeol in the room. Scene 4. Jaehyun was collecting past beautiful memories while looking at the photo with his mother, whom he had to tie in case of becoming a zombie. He just sat by his infected mother and waited the moment. Sorry, I just get too attracted by the plot and the members so.. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not a big fan of k-pop MVs that are like short films because i really dislike it when they interrupt the song for showing the plot (specially in the best parts). And in some MVs like this the acting is... well... you know, idols are idols not specifically actors. However, this is not the case with Golden Child, i think that this MV is very good, the emotional parts are so on point and all the acting is so great. ...But i want an MV with just the dance and the closeups too, ngl. This song's a total bop.

@@Teegal03 I hope they release the dance version with these sets (and more takes of the closeups, specially Jangjun's ones, he looks hella fine in this comeback, lol) I really love how the scenography looks at 1:04, and the backlighting at 3:54 looks dope too. But i understand if they don't release it, because they spent most of the budget in the story, and we can see all the effort they put in it, it'd be a shame if people don't appreciate it.

This is for anyone who finds the MV somewhat difficult to follow. It's just what I got after streaming a few dozens of times. Please don't be angry if something is wrong or poorly explained, feel free to leave a reply. They were obviously in a zombie apocalypse. There were a few different stories in the MV. 1. It seems like the girl was Sungyoon's little sister and she was also Bomin's girlfriend. And when they got attacked by the zombies, Sungyoon sacrified himself by luring the zombies to him and helped Bomin and his sister escaped. He was all alone with the zombies in the end. His sister did got away but she already got bitten. She hid it from Bomin and left him while he was asleep, she tried to herself so when she turned into a zombie, she couldn't hurt Bomin. When Bomin woke up, he went to find her and saw her turning and she told him not to come any closer because she was afraid to hurt him but he did it anyway and he came to hug her, he was not scared. Eventually, she turned into a zombie (?) 2. Jaehyun's mother was turned into a zombie but instead of abandoning or killing her, he just tied her to a sofa and you can clearly see that he still so much longed for her. He sat next to her, held her hand and called "omma" in desperate. 3. Youngtaek and Joochan were friends and Youngtaek's leg was injured, Joochan therefore had to help him as they were running from the zombies. This slowed them down a lot and Youngtaek felt like he was being a burden to Joochan, he felt guilty for it. So he gave Joochan the pistol, telling his friend to kill him. Joochan couldn't do it, he wouldn't do it. And I suppose he told Youngtaek something along the line of "we're in this together, alive or not". In the end, they rushed out into a swamp of zombies together. 4. Daeyeol, Jangjoon, Seungmin, Donghyun and Jibeom were a team. Donghyun was having a fever I suppose and he badly need medicines. So Daeyeol and Jangjun was sent out to scout for them. Seungmin, Jibeom and Donghyun stayed at the shelter and locked their door. But then someone came knocking... Daeyeol and Jangjun finally got the medicines but they were attacked by the zombies and were seperated trying to escape. Jangjung gave Daeyeol the medicines and told him to rush back to the shelter for Donghyun before they were seperated. Daeyeol returned with the medicines but the shelter was empty, no one was there. Then he heard knocking on the door and opened it, Jangjun came back safely and they reunited. That's all I got for now. I am still confused about what happened to Seungmin, Jibeom and Donghyun. The Korean title of the MV is "I will hug you" and all the stories told in it were all about love, potraiying in different kinds of relationship (friendship, family, lovers) and it show that no matter what happens you're not alone for the people who truly love you, unconditionally will be their for you, to hold you, to make sure that you're safe and even to sacrify their lives for you.

You can check on twitter for an english translation thread by fans. I usually went to webtoon site first and then head to twitter for a live translation sub or can use split screen to multitask.
