For camping I just use wikicamps, then I try to research locations further online anywhere I can. Because some places don't have recent reviews, I've started doing my own to assist others. Thx for watching.

Been watching your videos, do you get concerned when you are out there on your own about your own safety, when no one else is around?

No, never do. You can't allow your mind to make you paranoid, but you should be vigilant and make appropriate checks into a location if you can. Once I was at a place when a 4WD came into the campground, but they couldn't see me from where they were, and two blokes got out, one with a shotgun. They walked off into the bush, a shot was fired and only one came back. Yes, I was a bit concerned, then a woman with a child got out of the car, and they walked around a bit. I made my way around discretely to view the situation better, then the car drove away. I did a search of the place but found nothing. No body, no shallow graves. I think the other guy just must've walked around in a big circle to get back to the car and I didn't see him because of a few trees in the way here and there. Anyway, I could hear them driving around to the far side of the lake due to their loud muffler and then they stopped on the other side. I couldn't see them but I heard one more shot. I decided in the end it was a family who just took a few shots at rabbits. It was a bit weird, but I wasn't scared. My prior career gives me some confidence and skills to handle certain situations, and I don't take unnecessary risks.
