I was a greenkeeper at Stoke Poges (now Stoke Park) in the early 80's when the course looked quite similar to how it was in the movie. It is shot over the last three holes. The golf swing of Gert Frobe was actually a man called Ray Knock, a local artisan member and very good at golf. He won the national artisan championship a couple of times but died in the seventies.

Interesting point. Live and let die is a great Bond song and probably the only Bond song that really had a life of its own outside the Bond universe. But musically speaking it is not a Bond song, at least deviates too far from the typical elements of a Bond song. Goldfinger is the ultimate Bond song. It is the archetype of a Bond song. So... The gold bar dropped at around 1:18 would have weighed close to thirty pounds and left a large dent in the freshly mowed/manicured green. Nor could Mr Bond have had it in his pocket during the game. In his bag? Possibly. Although the sheer weight wouldn't have been appreciated by his caddy. And I can't see the caddy handing anything to Mr Bond prior to the bar being dropped opposite Goldfinger's short putt. Dropping the gold bar considered a violation of Golf etiquette.
