Just saw the full vid of the del sol and Jotech gtr. The GTR actually went red because they left early. Then they protested against the del sol because apparently the guys foot in the beams thew them off, and we’re rewarded with the win. There was no second race.

Getting the car out there and competing without any real time to sort anything out - man you really did amazing the car is going to be really consistent and in the nines once you sort a few things out. Good job!!

I could see it being a shallow stage issue if the car was rocking, but it was rock solid. I think they had a timing malfunction like you stated. I’d be stoked with those track results. It’s literally the first shakedown! Running 11.6 off the throttle around 1000ft is promising with the struggling front half. I bet you’ll find the VVT helps with spooling and I’m sure there is something up with the dump valve. It worked way better in you setup video. Congrats dude🤙🏼

Damn! That's a huge bummer. Car worked amazingly well for an untested combo. That thing will do low tens.....maybe a high nine if you can get your 60ft down to 1.5 or so.

Good video with a lot of info as usual. I have 02 Lexus IS300 and I used a lot of the info in your videos with getting my turbo set up better. Thinking of pulling the 5 speed (R154) and gloing Glide. So it is cool to see and use your build as a roadmap for that. Esp the dump valve and convertor info. Thank you for doing what you do.

You need to increase the duration of your bump in button. You were hitting it multiple times, more than 2. On the red light pass you were staged then rolled back out of the 2nd light then bumping in again. I’ve seen tracks where if you do that you get a foul/red light. Why not use a higher stall smaller dia converter to get your rpm up. Congrats on making it to IFO, lots of hard work!

Dude that red light is bs... Cool to see you being a good sport about it though. Racing is Racing... Did you get to try the trigger setup yet? The vvti should help a bit and finding your timing retard sweet spot for your 2 step should get you close to building boost. A side from the exhaust housing, you should be able to leave on more boost than what it sounds like you're reaching. Unless that converter is crying for some nitrous because it's too tight. If that dump valve is in fact acting up then your problem should be solved with that. And your next time out should be a major improvement. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help out with getting that vvti dialed in. Hopefully you get that sorted, I know I had a noticable shift in my power band once mine got dialed in...Good luck sir🤙
