In 1998 when I was in college, I watched it twice in 2 days when it was released on single screen. During those days, it was astonishing to see deep reality shown in the movie. Year 2023, I am still watching it & still amazed by realistic portrayal of characters. Before this movie, Underworld Dons use to wear long overcoats in movies and use to look so fake, Satya changed everything.

Manoj bajpayee damn. What an actor. Also need to give a standing ovation to JD chakravarty those cold killer eyes truly show the rawness and reality of a dangerous man. But manoj bajpayee steals the show. I wish i had a friend like biku. As a kid i only danced to kallu mama and sapne me milti hai. But never got to watch the movie as it was an adult film. But recently when i got the chance i realised that what people say is right this a cult classic and a marvelous piece of cinema. I wish mainstream bollywood made such movies now but those days of satya and black Friday can never come back.
