They litterally fight to the death if you stay near where they are defending... you can bash them, scare them or whatnot but they are sort of wired to fight eighter to you die or they die. I read its part of a survival mechanism due to them not being able to escape predators so easily on land so this is part of there evolution and survival. its kinda fashinating... I always found it odd though that they developed a sort of snake like sound. But its probably part of this to sort of scare predators or other animals that might otherwise threaten them.

“*YOU!*” the bird turns to look up at you and it’s eyes widen with fear. It hastily backs up into the wall as your giant hands wrap around its entire being. The spectators hiss and glare menacingly at you as you delicately place it back into it’s housing. There is an air of awkward hostility as you slowly back out of the cage. As you turn to leave one of the flock snaps and comes towards you. “*YOU!*” A goose honks angrily as it lunges for your boot. It doesn’t hurt, you are merely annoyed that it is ruining the fringing near the tip of your foot. “*YOU!*” You exclaim back as you clasp your hands firmly around the gander’s throat, restraining it from attacking you further. “Jssnsbdick dndisbd djdsolsjdbdbdbdb.”

If animals die, you don't do so well either. d) You must be a self-starter. e) The working conditions can include cold and wet, hot and sweaty, stinky and poopy, and attack animals. But hey, for some of us, it's heaven! :)

Two things, first, don't take the stick in there with you. It is seen as a war club and he's a gander doing his job. Second, try humming. It used to work on mine when I was a kid.
