There is a famous Buddhist book on changing one's destiny" Liao-Fan's Four Lessons" The destiny is not fixed but it is based on your moral principles, personality and number of good deeds/bad deeds you do. So practicing any sports/ philosophy or religion that allows you radically change yourself to become a better person would completely change your destiny.

These factors have a huge influence on people destiny, and most people destiny thus are kind of pre determined as long as they are mostly influenced by these factors. Buf if one practise philosophy or religion as a way of living, they begin to dramatically change their personality slowly, so that those who are quick to anger become patient and tolerant. Once their personality have greatly changed for the better, their friends and their jobs also follow positive changes. It s the big differences between fixed mindsets and growth mindsets. of course IQ and health could also be improved by training. Yet most conventional fortune tellers fail at giving precise future destiny as they are too complicated for mere mortals, but that doesn't mean fates are not real to the divinities in heavens. There s huge following in China precisely because fortune tellers have great record of predicting marriage success or failures just from birth dates, far higher than 50 50 Fates are not fixed, but they are extremely difficult to change. this is hard on an individual level, so it is much harder to change the fate of a nation. In short, the hardware is fixed, but you can change the software. Most people used their default softwares so their destiny are pre determiend, but if you download the best softwares, you can have a completely different destiny from the original destiny.

Went to one when I first came out to work in the 80s after I got discharged from the army. After looking at both my palms and asking my birth date. He took out a tattered old book referred to it. Then told me I can forget about getting rich fast. If I want to get rich must work hard and try my best not to get lost for people will have a hard time finding me if I am lost.

Maybe they did, but there's nothing you can do about it. Maybe it didn't specifically tell them covid 19 will do this and that at this exact time and Yada Yada. But maybe they predicted a sickness would rise soon. But how can one know for sure. During ww2 Japanese captains used I ching variant to predict their downfall, it's written in journals. The funny thing about BaZi is, it's not accurate for yourself. But when you read someone else, it turns out pretty accurate. I read one German youtuber that full of drama, but successful in gaining followers and patreon money. No, Ill save you 5 minutes your time from watching this video. If they can predict the future, they would so rich beyond the belief, or they would save so many life by preventing covid-19 outbreak in the first place. So either they are really bad at predicting the future, or they can predicting the future but chose to do nothing to save life for some malicious reason. Both are equally bad. But I guess if you treat the service as entertainment, I guess there is nothing wrong with that.

You are assuming that the future can drastically change based on the telling. That is not what their school of thought believed. Do you realise if what you say can be done, then their prediction can be rendered wrong since your competitors can do the same thing and destroy you, meaning the whole fortune telling business is useless.

It’s not just the Chinese. I’m sure there are people who use cultural techniques in all cultures. Indians and Persians are also good at it and have cultural practices around fortune telling. Stop trying to make it seem like the Chinese culture is more dominate.
