I am curious to know what goes into doing these Weber carbs, other than what I've read online

The weber conversion is a fairly common upgrade, guys say theyre the bomb. My problem is im keeping the stock fake tank, and the sides dont open with Webbers. Im wondering if elbows turning pods outward on top of the carbs would solve that?

Very curious about the carbs. Seems like there are no intakes manifold for the 1200 out there; I could be wrong. If you know, please tell me. Thanks and be safe!

I think if you email the manufacturer, you could tell them what you have and see if they know if it works. Worst case, maybe check what there return policy is. Then just get a set and check the fit for yourself.

The 1000/1100 manifolds will bolt up just fine, but there are some gasflow issues which can be overcome with a bit of caveman modification. Beware of the Randakk manifolds though - the set I bought looks like a child was let loose with a welder! Ridiculously overpriced too.

its not "off" a bike. i got it "new" from a local bike shop. I think its made off a 1991 HD XL1200 tank.
