So thankful this got recommended to me, I don't know why, but I just love big robots taking care of kids and to see there being a whole anime about it, nice! Edit: What I think I love it so much is the stark contrast, kinda like salt and sweet, where the robot is the salt and the kid is the sweet, two different things that work super well together! But I also think that a kid growing up entirely with a machine would probably not be healthy for a kid's mental health, but it is nice to watch because of the contrast

This is to good to be left unresolved so I'm going to leave my take on it First off I know we all want golem to be saved but it just wouldn't happen. The story is about sacrifice. Golem is putting Somali's needs before his own like a real father would. I feel we would of seen him get more and more disheveled as time goes on, loosing his fingers here a leg there resulting in him needing a crutch Secondly I don't think Somali would of found her parents, not alive at least. The show is about found family. I feel at the end of the show we would of seen Somali and golem at two graves them being her parents and that's where the golem would shut down and I feel that we would see Somali stay with another family possibly the onis I also think we would see the over all opinion about humans start to change by the end I don't know why but probably because of the hearts Somali touched. It would be slow at first of course but it would be a start I by no means think this is 100% correct but this is my take and with the show cancelled we aren't going to see the official end
