ganz schön kompliziert geworden wenn ich mir überlege wie ich sowas damals im Golf 3 noch gemacht habe. Mittlwerweile ist mir der Seriensound zu gut um den krassen Aufwand zu betreiben. Hinzu kommt, dass es bei einem so neuen Modell eher Wertmindernd ist beim Wiederverkauf, als wertsteigernd. Die Antenne ist für mich ein NoGo. Wenn schon hinten das VW Teil gegen eins mit Kamera getauscht wird, können die auch ihre eigene "Flosse" fürs Dach liefern. Ob ich den Himmel nun noch abmache oder nicht ist bei diesem Umbau dann auch nicht mehr relevant. Nichts für Anfänger! Preis für so einen Umbau würde mich auch mal interessieren.

Any foam behind the speakers to reduce backwave and resonance within the door as it's not a sealed chamber? Nice work though :). 25% coverage is considered optimal for reducing panel resonance so is there a reason for covering the inner skin entirely?

Das Radio ist ja genial, wenn man nicht noch zusätzliche Innenantennen für NAVI und DAB+ so wie ein zusätzliches Innenmikro für die Freisprecheinrichtung installieren müsste. Denn die serienmässig vorhandenen Antennen mit sehr gutem Außenempfang (Flosse) können nicht angeschlossen werden - wie mir mein Händler mitteilte. Zudem vermisse ich in DAB+ die Slideshow.

Search on the Hertz site for local dealers, and ask if they can do Audison. You have to order this setup through local dealer. It's approx. $2000 USD. That sub alone is about $400 without amp, but it's so awesome how it fits perfect in the Golf 7.
