Just finished reshafting my Callaway BB 454 bore-through. Local golf repair stores said it couldn’t be done - because of the .350 tip. I watched your videos and followed along with a few simple tools. Came out perfect - although it took WAY more time than I had planned! Thanks again for your direction.

Awesome video. Used those for years and had no idea of how they were constructed. Keep em coming when able.

Very skilfull! I've still got the same club. I loved it but I had the shaft changed and it came back as an XXX stiff and was unplayable!!The guy who did it wasn't in your league, and I'm now using TM Mk2. You did a great job.

that club can always be redone if you chose and thanks

Could you give us some dimensions of your little white adapter for pulling the shafts; particularly the angle. I'm guessing about 60 degrees. I have a shop-built puller that utilizes a large spring and two piece collets that are bored to .340, .360, and .380. The same collets could be used with our puller with just a short piece of pipe similar to your adapter, but square on both ends. Also, I usually added two payers of masking tape the sole and cut the hole out with an Exacto knife as extra insurance when cutting the shaft end.

That's nice!! I used to play a 2004 Cally BB 454 Ti too. Loved it. I been thinking about getting one. But I would wanna swap out the shafts.

well we can do it as you can see or you now have the guide.

My grandfather just gifted me one of these clubs. The little piece you hammer into the head has pulled out of mine. What should I do about that?

Another very informative video, but one question, did you not have to add or remove weight to keep the club balanced as it was a different shaft that you fitted.
@McGolf7 жыл бұрын
I did not the shaft was longer than usual and made up for any weight issues

I found a big bertha womens divine nine. Shaft broken all the way down to the head and i want to get it shafyed with a steel shaft but with no extra shaft to pull on will ot just have to be drilled out?

I have a Great Big Bertha II 10* head. The shaft broke at the hosel. I've had it laying around for years. I have been thinking about having the broken strands of graphite removed and a new shaft installed. The big question is what is the price point for a complete repair/refit as you did in this informative video. I don't want to just throw away the head. Seems a waste if a new shaft can be installed.

artcore1950 $35 plus the shaft and grip

Hi! Great video! And great channel too! Do you know which would be the best alternative to replace the dampening neutralizer polymer pin in a Titleist 585h hybrid? I recently bought a used one, and it shows some cracks, which are logical considering the age of the club. Thank you in advance!
@McGolf5 жыл бұрын
Mauricio Eguchi typically it requires a shaft pull and a re install with a new pin
@eguchino5 жыл бұрын
@@McGolf OMG. I'd read that 585H hybrids wasn't a true bore thru design. The pin do not hold the shaft, and is just for vibration dampening/ head sound tunning. Could it be right?
@McGolf5 жыл бұрын
@@eguchinoIt could be that there is a plug and that would be a repair that tiliest would only perform as they control that part. However and typically that plug is not very big more like a cap. If there is a crack big enough for you to see you might try the drywall patch method and get some expoy and press it into the crack smooth it out
@eguchino5 жыл бұрын
@@McGolf thank you for the reply! I will try to repair the cracks as you told me in order to keep the assembly as original as I can. I will let you know the results as soon as I can take it to the range. Thank you for your great service!

@@McGolf how about changing shafts on a Callaway FTIQ clubhead that does not have IMAX.
@McGolf5 жыл бұрын
You can change shafts but will have reuse ferrules. Check shaft tip diameter to make they are the same
@matt7iron5 жыл бұрын
@@McGolf I already tried to heat it and it only burned my club head then I cut it off at the shaft base and started drilling everything out, I couldn't tell what was shaft and what was ferrule I was drilling out, I totaled it out, it's ok I've lost thousands of dollars on golf. With tee times, 2 Buckets of practice balls every week, new and used iron sets, drivers, putters, since 1984 when I started playing golf I must of spent 100,000 dollars.

CAN'T BELIEVE THAT CUSTOMER WANTED THE OLD CALLAWAY SILVER SHAFT. ALWAYS HEARD (FROM CLUB MAKERS AND FITTERS) THEY WERE ALL OVER THE SPECTRUM ON STIFFNESS AND TORQUE, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE SHAFT SAID IT WAS. GUESS HE HAD FOND MEMORIES OF PLAYING WITH IT

The old Callaway titanium driver/woods bore thrus are better performance than anything modern in every way ....other than pulling the shaft out 😂 but you have a point with the cost.
