Great Video. Where’s the install Vid? I am interested in learning how install a driver adapter to a spine/flow drive shaft. Is it even needed with driver adapter installs? Thank you in advance.

UST A COUPLE OF TIPS: YOU DO NOT NEED TO REMOVE THE FERRULE TO REMOVE THE ADAPTER AND IF YOU HAVE A RUBBER SHAFT CLAMP USE THAT TO CLAMP ON THE FERRULE THAT IS STILL ON THE SHAFT AND TWIST THE SHAFT TO REMOVE IT AND THUS SOMETIMES YOU SAVE THE FERRULE. NOW PUT THE ADAPTER BACK IN THE CLUB HEAD AND TIGHTEN THE SCREW SO WHEN CLEANING IT OUT WITH THE ELECTRIC DRILL MOUNTED WIRE BRUSH THE ADAPTER CANNOT GET LOOSE AND CUT YOUR HAND. ALSO LEAVE THE ADAPTER IN THE CLUB HEAD WHEN INSTALLING THE SLEEVE TO THE SHAFT SO YOU CAN GET THE SHAFT POSITIONED & LINED UP PROPERLY WITH YOUR FAVORITE ADAPTER SHAFT POSITION. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY A KIT WITH SCREWS, ANY GOOD ACE HARDWARE STORE HAS THE SOCKET HEAD CAP SCREWS YOU NEED FOR A FEW CENTS AND A WASHER THE SCREW HEAD WILL NOT PASS THRU. TAKE THE SCREW FROM THE CLUB HEAD WITH YOU TO GET THE CORRECT THREAD SIZE. SOME ARE METRIC AND OTHERS STANDARD.

What does the ferrule do? Does it have any purpose other than cosmetic? I’m replacing a taylormade adjustable loft adapter, but a I don’t have a replacement ferrule.
@McGolf5 жыл бұрын
try golfworks for the replacement. A ferrule is typically cosmetics however the collared ferrules actually help minimize a shear point at the connection.

How do I replace a nike vr driver shaft with a scew in shaft into the driver head, the shaft broke right at the place where the shaft srews into the club head ???
@McGolf5 жыл бұрын
Kiki Rodriguez I did a video on broken shaft replacement the process is the same
@G2niverse2 жыл бұрын
No idea why you didn't use the correct tip puller? You had the tool and did it the hard way. You don't need to get out from golfworks, go to your big box home improvement store and get the screw and the washer.

Can you use a heat gun? One for say that is used for heat shrink or fitting hockey blades to stick shaft?
@McGolf5 жыл бұрын
Barn Dwellers heat guns work the just take longer and remember to keep the gun moving to prevent burning the paint

That was a great video on removing a tip adaptor. However could you please show a video of removing the M2 tip adaptor from the driver. I have done several but I am spending after shipping and taxes $40.00 for a new factory tip adaptor. Can the ferrule be saved from the M2 ?
@McGolf7 жыл бұрын
Bobby Marson unfortunately the ferrule is integral to the tip and inmost cases cannot be saved. However ferrule can be purchased separately for much less than a tip

Great videos and extremely helpful! Where can I buy a knife like you use to remove ferrule? Having a hard time finding one!
@silverfeathered15 жыл бұрын
I use a similar chisel knife, I find them to have better hand control and more versatility. I have a few "good" ones, but I gravitate to my cheaper Morakniv chisel knife for 90% of my work.

McGolf... I have replaced a cobra LTD adapter 2 times. it keeps cracking at the bottom of adapter. So... This last time i put a knew adapter on it is loose on the tip. Not snug. For some reason its not sticking with poxy. Do you know? Is it because to much space between shaft and adapter. After 2 heatings and cleaning. Its rubbed down? Do i need to cut it? Then it will be stiffer? If i cut 1/2 or 1/4. will it be stiffer... Thanks
@McGolf6 жыл бұрын
No sure why it would be cracking unless you are pressing the shaft into the adapter to cause it to break, There should only be about.01 space, you might try a shim now that you have room, DONT cut it down, pull it and shim it
@sparkplug60226 жыл бұрын
Thanks..What would i use to shim it? Thats something i have never done.Thanks again. PS The ferrule separated from the adapter.The white ring .The adapter was in one piece. Both times the bottom separated. and this last time. the driver head twisted . You could twist the shaft. These were after market.
@McGolf6 жыл бұрын
Shims can be bought at golf works, brass and or plastic. However a quick and less expensive home grown method is using fishing line. .012

Great videos, I find them very useful and a great resource for learning. Which is your video where you install a driver tip? I can't seem to find it. Thanks again.
@McGolf7 жыл бұрын
Installing the tip is much like installing a shaft into a head without a tip. If I am missing that part it will be part of the clubmaking series.

Hi. I have a Cobra driver. My Q is.....!.....What is the lowest loft/degree adaptors can be set to. Believe me!....I need a 5° loft. Yes five degrees. Lets not argue. Bryson de C use a 5.5°......probably custom built by Cobra. If you didnt know.....The late Calvin Pete who held driving accuracy nr.1 spot for 10yrs used a 4degree driver. I naturally hitball high. So I loose a lot of distance as result. Higher equals wider.....fact!
@wwclark4 жыл бұрын
Loft you can adjust is based on the driver you get and the adjuster for it. Most only move it 2° and some not that much
