Nothing against your or anyone else's choices, but two things I will never choose for my quilts are cuddle backing and paper piecing. I'm old-fashioned, I guess, and only want a cotton backing.

You use batting even with minky

I do! It kind of acts like a stabilizer between the two layers. I use a thin batting, so not much extra weight or thickness is added

Great tutorials girlfriend. Where do you get your wide back minky/cuddle? I went to Shannon fabrics and its $20 per yard. Yikes. Do you have a less expensive source? Keep the tutorials coming. I really enjoy them

I get my Shannon Fabrics wide backs from caliquiltco.com - they're still about 17.95 to 22.95 per yard for them, but so worth it!
