This actually looks like it could help beginners feel some basic stuff. It's so hard to explain golf feelings and even harder to show. I'm a layman in instructing but I think this tool really could kickstart the learning process. Once you get the hips and wrists to begin working somewhat correctly I would not use this since you need to move freely, and with unhindered speed, to get the back, shoulder and arms to feel the pull of the club, for balance and release.

You use a 6 and 7iron in the Gruva to learn to groove your swing. The swing will be there for you when you use your other clubs but in the Gruva you use a shorter club for better control.

You ppl who talk shits but u have no idea what u r saying. I struggled with the swing for the last 3 years and wanted to swing like those marvelous Korean LPGA like In Chee Chung but could not figure out how. Then stumbled on this video and thanks to the ppl who designed it, I was able to see the second plane (the flatter plane) and after a couple of adjustments on the range, I was able to emulate that swing and finally drove all my balls straight on the course, especially the driver! I will purchase the gruva machine in a couple of months just to keep my muscle memory fresh. Thank you Gruva for this video!

This is actually quite different from the explaner. The explaner is a single plane swing and you use a roller instead of a club. This is a multi-plane swing trainer where the back and downswings are differ from eathother, you use a 6 or 7 iron in it and this will prevent casting and promote weight transfer.

We give you a protective club cover that's a strong plastic to slip over your club before you use it in the Gruva. This way your club is protected. We recommend you go slow at the beginning to get use to the swing plane etc. and once you get more comfortable to bring up the speed. It might be jarring to hit the anti-casting plate or over-the-top button in the beginning but it gives you instant feedback about where you're going wrong and how to fix it.

This is a good device and all but for anyone that wants to hit a golf ball the way you are supposed to just go to pga.com and find a pga professional in your area. If you watch this guy's head and spine angle it is flopping all over the place. As an amateur golfer you don't need to worry so much about all this compression and release. Just build your fundamentals and those points will fall into place. You can't "force" a good swing, you have to develop it with great fundamentals.

Some have success playing by feel. However, many don't because they have bad concepts. Whilst I don't coach my students to take the club as wide on the backswing every coach knows that to put decent speed on the club it must travel closer to the body on the downswing. This device shows the golfswing to be circular, and a 2 plane action. You could build a decent golf swing from this apparatus when used correctly. But don't rely 100% on any teaching apparatus as it ruins the ability to LEARN..

After reading through these golf swing secrets “Jοmtοnο Naha” (Google it) and doing the drills as I read, I went out and also shot a 73. Another accomplishment I have made is hitting 13 of 18 greens in regulation. I also almost hit the green with a distance of Five to ten yards on the other 5 holes. Since 9 is my handicap, I never shoot 73s. It was not my best round ever, but it was my best in a long time.
